Your new patch didn't do a goddamn thing in Awakening! Game settings still go to default, Lilith keeps showing up, and Velanna's Exile won't start either.

Shouldn't Bioware close this thread / remove it? The title update is rolled back now.

Has there been a thread started detailing whether or not they rolled back to 1.3 for the times being? I looked around, but didn't see anything and was just curious if anyone saw something on it.

Nm, http://social.biowar.../index/3207414. I of course found something regarding the matter after I posted the above message.

Since it got rolled back, is it going to affect saves made with 1.04 when it's re-released? I lucked out and it worked for me, but I was wondering if the new version is going to ruin the new saves.

Does this also fix the issue in awakening when the weapon you get from the exotic materials quest bugs to the starfang skin?

No bioware claims they can't fix it because of "some corporate mumbo jumbo".  I'm paraphrasing but thats what I got.

I think it has to do with size limitations on the patch, although a good workaround would be to release those fixes as free dlc.

Ah yes that was it but I agree if they really cared they would do a free dlc that fixes things that should have been fixed before the game was even released.

lol, "if Bioware really cared..."

If Bioware really cared, it wouldn't have taken 10 months to fix typos on dagger damage modifiers, not to mention bows still being broken. Fingers crossed that bows are fixed by the 1 year mark :D

If anything, the actions of Bioware(or lack thereof) over the past 10 months illustrate that they really don't care...

Hello all,

We've received word from Microsoft that the 1.04 patch for Xbox 360 has passed certification and will be released early in the morning (by North American standards) on July 21, 2010. Once it is released, you will be prompted to updated the first time you try and play the game. Patch notes can be found on the patch page: http://social.biowar...page/da-patches

Patch 1.04 is currently in testing for PS3 and will be released once it has received Sony certification.

UPDATE: For those of you experiencing freezing issues with the update, please visit this thread to help our Quality Assurance department trouble shoot the issue.

Thanks!

Is there a public list of bugs that are scheduled to be fixed? Poison does not seem to work when Leliani is using a bow. Is that by design?

I can assure you, I will not be pre-ordering in the future. I will wait to see if the products are defective before purchasing, however, that does not help me now with Origins and Awakening. If I want to be pissy due to poor customer service, that is my right as a consumer.

Don't read my posts if they bug you so much.

They don't bug me. I just think it's very naive to expect CD/DVD based media to not have bugs. Bioware also does what they can to fix them. It's not like they are sitting around going "Yeah lets see how we can screw over the people that BUY our games by NOT fixing bugs in our games". I mean, if I come across a bug that makes the game unplayable, I will go play something else until said bug is fixed. Origins and Awakening are FULLY playable. The bugs, such as they are, do not prevent the game from being played.

You are right, it is rare nowadays that a game is released bug free, however, that was not my issue. My issue was that it took them 10 months to fix the dagger issue.

PC users had similar issues at launch, much like we are still having with bows. WIth the toolkit, they were able to resolve the problem in 20 minutes...20 MINUTES! Bioware takes 10 months to do what users took 20 minutes to do(the clock is still ticking on bows BTW). I believe that to be unacceptable and am voicing my opinion.

Origins and Awakening are playable, however, I would leave the "fully" part out. I do not consider playing with broken mechanics or lack of choice in which order to complete the zones in Awakening as "intended".

Technical glitchs like occasional texture drops, etc. don't bother me but gameplay mechanics that could be caught by a simple half hour of gameplay could have told bioware that the daggers and bows were broken. I mean 10str+10dex gives you 20 divide that by 2 to give a total of 10 damage that is suppost to be done but wait I'm only getting a 6dmg output on bows something must be wrong?

Don't ge me wrong, I'm not going on a I hate bioware/ea rant because I'm not I loved every bioware game I've ever played especially this game.  I'm just saying something that easy to do math for and check if its working correctly couldn't be that much of a trouble to check for all three platforms can it?

Someone told me that Micro$oft actually loses money on the XBox and the only reason they're even in the console market is to take a bite out of Nonetendo and $ony. Typical assimilation strategy that they've used successfully in the past. Drive your competitors into the ground by underpricing them and stealing market share.

So . . . really, how seriously do you think Micro$oft is about dedicating resources to patching a losing venture? That why I don't play on consoles and if I were to buy a console, it would not be anything associated with Micro$oft.

All companies loose money on consoles, they make it up in game sales.
