Warden's story - why you have nothing to worry about

I think you have nothing to worry about and here's why:
1. They left the warden's story open ended for a reason. They appear to be planning on continuing it in some fashion, expansion, dlc, or whatever.
2. When telling an epic story, think LOTR etc, the author often jumps between characters or groups of characters. I suspect they needed the events of DA2 in place before they would be ready to focus on later events, say of the 'god baby'..
This is pretty common in long books with many characters. Did you throw down The Two Towers in disgust because the narrative switched from Frodo to Merry and Pippin? Who cares if these minor characters are talking to trees! We want to see what happened to Frodo!!11!
No you didn't, or at least I hope not. You kept reading until Tolkien switched back to Frodo on the way to Mordor.
I suggest people stop demanding instant gratification from the devs and enjoy the story being told.

true my warden will probally only have 10 years left when DA2 endsJasonPogo wrote...
The only thing I have to say to that is Bioware has said that the story of Dragon Age is of the 100 years that make up the "Age" being a Warden means your Warden will only be around for about 30 of them after his joining.

It's like, they fulfilled their part of Thedas' history, and now it's time to step aside and let the newby take over. A lot of people don't like this, being more attached to their character then to the world of Dragon Age it's self. I can understand that but completely disagree with it.
Maybe it's because I read the books, and already had to dump many beloved characters in exchange for some new undefined gray warden, but DA2 seems to be exactly what it's advertising. A continuation of the story. New characters, sure, but none the less important and engaging then they ever have been. (okay so I honestly shouldn't say that seeing as the game isn't even out yet, but I have faith in Bioware<3)
Anyway, it seems that I'm rambling now so I'll just shut up and go away....

Well... I still feel that the warden's part of the story is over. I liked the closure we got from awakening, where we could still fill in the blanks a little.

Thats is a great point about the books and the characters. I still wish I could have had Kell and Utha as party members....

I hope he has more stories to be told, I would like his to end like in the movie " Last Samurai" Where the guy that followed him around say somthing like this. Some say he died from his wounds, some say he went home, I would like to think he found what he was looking for and is at peace. It shows Tom Cruise looking up the hill at the women he had loved, he was tired of being a hero and of war and just wanted to be happy, thats how I see the Warden, I would like to see him in the fields walking and one day finding Morrigan and getting to be happy. It may sound silly but hell, I love it.
I agree
