well I wore the apprentice cowl, but it just looked okay to me and the stats weren't that good. I wanted to make my mage look cool and evilSneelonz wrote...
Yes! Hoods/cloaks would be great! But am I the only one that wasn't completely annoyed by the mage hats? I actually liked one or two of them...

On the hats? Or on the robes, because I thought they were interesting on the robes.
On the hats. Oh the horror in DA:O!
If there are hats in DA2, how about them not being designed by the weirdest gayest men in the world.

I'm down with the hooded capes and cloaks, but what about a choice of nice, shiny circlets too???
Yes! I agree! I mean, I'm thinking that the guys wouldn't really use them, but I want to look like a princess!

Be it hoods, an earring, or headbands; anything but the coneheads...
Edit: I'll even go for masks, either completely face covering or the one used by the Architect.

Hoods would be appreciated. Hey guys don't worry about zots - thats the developers concern. Focus on what you want. Its like ordering a cheeseburger and getting only cheese otherwise.
I'd say it's like having a hankering for a cheeseburger and asking if they have any, but if no more cheese, regular hamburger with ketchup is good too.
But if they don't have ketchup, we have a problem.

depends on how they look, my main character in NWN2 never used anything else than a circlet that made him look like a Duke or Prince
aslong it is not overly "girly/too decorated" and closer to being simple I think I would use it even for a male character here too

True--but then they look very royal. A girl circlet can just look elegant and fashionable. Almost all guy jewelry has an ulterior motive.

I also believe that merchants and mages with such circlets would sound plausible and look cool

correction: give us a toggle to decide ourself if we want to see them or not (atleast for helmet and mask)

it completely ruined any look of any mage.
when i saw morrigan(well i supose it was her) on the cover with a hood over her head i was like WOW i need that game and i NEED her XD
i instantly gave her a hood and suddenly she was a prank instead of a hot sexy babe XD
i wonder how they got that idea anyway. nothing compares the hood.
same goes for rogues. they should make something more rogue like for rogues instead of just medium and light armour.
a true rogue wears a capuchon(thats a cape with a hood) to mask himself.
capes are a must for anyone. it looks awesome with everyone.

Why must all weapons stick to ones back? Why can't a dual wielder have one on the back, on at the hip? Bows over the shoulder? Hammers...however you sheathe/holster a hammer!
The answer from Greg Zoeller (sp?) back in the day was that it was just too resource intensive to do. To get the seathe right you have to have the right kind of graphical engine. The sword has to naturally slide out of the sheath without clipping, so you need a unique seath model for every model of sure you use. Then you need unique models for dual wielding (unless you just reverse the side of the sheath). This is nitpicking, really. But I'd love to see cloaks. Hooded cloaks? Not if I the stats are sucky in comparison to a cloak/cowl combo...naaaah, it'd probably be worth it.
Sheathes would be great, but I can imagine it would be quite a bit of work to pull off. Plus many of the weapon models, if following the same artistic style, simple wouldn't make sense to fit in a sheath.
I would settle for daggers and 1h weapons hanging off the hips instead of floating on the back. No sheath required.
