There should be a toggle option to have a head piece equipped but to not have it visible, some of those helmets are downright awful.

cloaks with hoods would be awesome though

of for the love of any god change the hoods and hats for mages in DA:O
it completely ruined any look of any mage....i wonder how they got that idea anyway. nothing compares the hood.
.

The person who designed those hats should be made to wear one for 48 hours! Posted Image

Could we please get rid of the quilted mage robes? They remind me of the quilted bathrobes my grandmother wore.

I think everybody wants cloaks, I definitely want cloaks, if their hooded then I might just buy the game 3 times.

A bathrobe should definitely be a feastday gift option, though.

it would actually be funny to be able to wear a sleep hat and a robe fitting to it

Just because your grandmother didn't tell you she's a mage isn't a reason to be hatin' on her garments...

Cloaks, hoods, hats that aren't designed to look like coneheads, masks and capes. Show some love for things that aren't plate.

Why must all weapons stick to ones back? Why can't a dual wielder have one on the back, on at the hip? Bows over the shoulder? Hammers...however you sheathe/holster a hammer!

The answer from Greg Zoeller (sp?) back in the day was that it was just too resource intensive to do. To get the seathe right you have to have the right kind of graphical engine. The sword has to naturally slide out of the sheath without clipping, so you need a unique seath model for every model of sure you use. Then you need unique models for dual wielding (unless you just reverse the side of the sheath).

Why would one need a sheath? A better option (and one that existed in the middle ages) would be to have a sword ring (a ring of metal hanging from the belt by a leather thong) or a sword frog (seen here: http://www.a2armory....loop-16-152.jpg). It'd work for axes and hammers too.

But there would probably be clipping issues, and all in all it'd be too difficult to implement.

sheaths are more for show or for very powerfull magical weapons in order to protect the wearer or contain the power of the weapon.

if the cloaks have hoods/masks let there be a toggle option(always off) and an option to take it of during conversations. (maybe they'll look good or your playing an evil hawke :P? but an option there is always good)

I think I'd prefer a hood over the silly hats in DA:O, that's for sure.

Definitely.  They sort of reminded me of dunce caps.

Hood attached to the robe or cape the way to go.  And colors, red, blue, dark green.

Cloaks, hoods, or capes!!! sign me up :D That would be the games main selling point for me. I've yet to play a good medieval / fantasy rpg game that involves cloaks, toggle-able hoodies or animated capes. =(((((

Agree with op. I want the option of cloak with a hood, so all that is visible are my beady red eyes.

What about bandit masks, like bits of cloth covering the lower half of your face?
