Jacob Taylor: In Mass Effect 3.... I'll let you find out for yourself.
Miranda Lawson: She tried to put a control chip in Shepard's Brain.
Ashley Williams: Sorry. I'm not particularly fond of racists.
if you had to let three squadmates die who would they be?

Ashley - she used to just annoy me but given her ME3 changes I think it's the kindest thing. I always blow her up on Virmire.
Kaiden - he bores me and annoys me and the puppydog routine around Femshep is just.... I always blow him up on Virmire as well. Even more than I blow up Ashley.
Jacob - he's a bit weird.
Miranda - she big notes herself too much.
Zaeed - not a team player and too much a law unto himself
Morinth - because Morinth.
Oh, sorry, did it have to be just three?

Legion, Jacob and Thane.
Thane's gonna die anyway, might as well spare him the bother.
Legion is a robot. I'm not sure if that counts as a death, but if it does, Legion.
Jacob because... He's Jacob

Grunt (While his genes and fertility might be of worth to the Krogans, he is honestly barely a person. Wouldn't miss him.)
Thane (Dying of an incurable disease which is largely a byproduct of Drell physiology - he's also wracked with guilt and seems to see his own death as both inevitable and to some degree desirable. Also seems like he would cope well with death given his philosophical bent.)
Jack (Crazy and dangerous, even if you've gained her loyalty and worked hard to help her adjust. Probably a liability in the grand scheme of things.)
Legion could also probably be backed up, so the mobile platform you do missions with is expendable. So I guess there's that. That geth are software makes words like "kill" and "die" kind of tricky.

Liara= Boring and useless overall. Wish I could have sacrificed her on Virmire.
Jacob= Dumb and useless. Too eager to rush toward death. If he was in charge of the SM it would be the same as that everybody dies youtube video someone made. (Their Shep looked like John Locke)
Jack=Dumb and Emo. Talked about blowing a hole in the ship while we are all in space. I so wanted to shoot her. I gleefully refused to upgrade the shielding so I can watch her die in the engine room. That's what happens when ships get blown open in space, stupid b**ch.

If I max out Liara's throw and lift she is virtually unstoppable as a biotic and I go everywhere with her. Jack sucks, she dies all the time.

Let die as in make them cannon fodder,
Jack: Has my sympathy but not good for morale.
Zaeed: Freaks not welcome on board.
Jacob: Combat powers are inferior to everyone else
Let die as in be the Rearguard
Garrus: If anyone can handle waves, he can
Thane: Two snipers better than one. And he has accepted his end anyway.
Legion: Three snipers better than two.
Grunt is still too young to die. He can be the vanguard

Zaheed- He's too violent and likes killing people too much for me. ( But Im contradicting myself because I like Jack.
Miranda- Never liked her. Too much of a Cerberus cheerleader. Was placed on my ship to watch me? no.
Grunt- at first I felt bad for him, but then he just made me realise Korgan really are just genetically made for killing things.

If I try to be rational about this (i.e not go by my personal feelings of the characters), then I guess my list would be:
- Thane. Though he's my #1 squadmate, he's one of the most sensible choices for this. He's already dying and has pretty much accepted it + he did wish to make the world a bit better place before his departure. Wasn't this why he even joined Shepard? Because this suicide mission could give him a chance to seek that redemption. He's a noble person. He wouldn't object sacrificing himself for greater good.
- Jack/Zaeed/Morinth. Jack is unstable, psycho, likes killing way too much. I don't really know Zaeed but from what I have heard, he's kind of a loon and a wild card. Morinth... yeah.
- Legion. Because he's synthetic. A machine. I think he wouldn't mind dying for the cause. Could even find it rational solution. (Though since I like him I'd make sure to have a backup
)
- Grunt. A dangerous fellow. Plus he would just enjoy going down in a glorious battle. Like a true Krogan.
And now for my personal list (i.e. who I actually would let die based on my personal feelings).
- Jacob. Just a dull, dull character who I never use as a squadmate since I find his powers really inferior to others.
- Tali. Sorry. I'm just not a big fan of her character. Too often reminded me of a whiny teenager + Legion has almost exactly the same abilities and I take him over her anyday.
- DLC characters. Well, I don't actually know them but from what I have heard/seen they are really underdeveloped, feel like strangers in your ship, and the above comment of Zaeed still remains.
- Jack. While I actually do like her, she was kind of irritating at first + I almost never used her in my squad. I didn't appreciate her tough girl act when at the same time she kept denying obvious facts and making herself a martyr. I get that she has suffered, a lot and she does have a good damn reason to be angry, but she doesn't need to make it seem like she's the only one who had it bad. It's a rather dangerous attitude to have... and it shows. And since she actually did die during my first playthrough and it didn't bother me that much then... yeah.

Ashley-racist and too mistrusting.
Liara- because she can't die except at the end of ME3 if your EMS is low and boring plus as Liara is BW's pet character as some people would say.
Miranda-arrogant and too much of a Cerberus cheerleader.
and if I had a fourth option Legion- simply because hes a Geth.

Jacob, because he cheats, and there's nothing significant about him except the number of ab crunches he does.
Legion, because Geth VI makes it easier to do the ending.
The ending takes care of EDI even though I liked her.
