if you had to let three squadmates die who would they be?

Samara: She is old and will see it as her responsibility as a Justicar to die for someone else.
Thane: He is dying already.
No.3: Grunt would propably enjoy it. Legion might be reloaded, who knows? Mordin is pretty old too.

For the Suicide Mission in ME2 (if I absolutely have no other alternative than having some people die because I'd rather everyone survive):
Jacob - Snore city, doesn't bring anything beneficial to the squad that someone else can't do and do better, he creeps my FemShep right the hell out, he keeps coming to brief new squadmates--goddamnit man, you are not my XO, get back to the Armory and do your friggin job.
Thane - He's dying anyway so I'd give him a noble death fighting against the evil in the galaxy so he truly can leave the galaxy a better place than he found it.
OPTIONAL: Legion - As long as he does a backup before we head out, then I'd be willing to cut the material loss and pick him up in geth space later after he downloads to a new platform.
OPTIONAL: Miranda - If she wont step down as XO because everyone on my boat knows Garrus is really my XO, and I have this sinking feeling that despite her "quitting" Cerberus if you destroy the Collector base, she's still a TIM spy.
OPTIONAL: Samara - It just seems rather cruel that she has to live for another 500 years or more with her guilt and sadness. I'm not giving her pity, but like Thane, I'd like to give her a chance to die a noble death.
Some dramatic event in ME3 where it's the difference between sacrificing someone for the greater good or accepting defeat at the hands of the Reapers (or a high personnel cost to win):
Ashley/Kaiden - I'm sorry, but you betrayed me. Even Tali, who absolutely loathes Cerberus with every fiber of her being, was willing to give me the benefit of the doubt.
Garrus - If the event that requires a sacrifice is extremely important, I want someone I can trust to get the job done, even if they're going to die, holding the line/planting the bomb/etc. Garrus has proven that despite knowing that he will die (Omega), he will fight to the bitter end for what he believes in.
Thane - For the same reasons mentioned before, plus I know that he's willing to follow through his mission even if it means he will die. He's a very honorable individual.
OPTIONAL: Legion - As before, if he backs himself up beforehand, the material cost is inconsequential. Plus, I'd trust him to do his job to the best of his ability no matter what the circumstances are.

LMAO!! Jacob's name is glowing in every single post here!
I quite liked Jacob's character, he is tough, brave & skilled in battle, the human equivilent of Garrus. so i am quite suprised he is so pupular for the death list, maybe its his bravery that makes him the ideal lemming ?

Samara's led a full life and seems very pragmatic about death.
And Ash. B*tch pissed me off with all her 'I don't trust bugeyed monsters' bullsh*t one too many times.

Morinth - I only spared you because you'd be useful in battle, possibly moreso than your mother given your unique talents. It doesn't mean that I have to like you or believe that you deserve to live.
Mordin - Your life is more or less over, might as well go out with a bang! (This is assuming I had him destroy the genophage cure data, because if I asked him to keep it, I'd want him to survive).
Zaeed - Man, I don't care about your need for revenge. We do. Not. Sacrifice. Civilians.

Samara - Her code has her ready to give her life for innocents. She's lived longer than all of the squad. I think she would take her death with courage.
Zaeed - He's cool and everything, but he's just a merc - and one who is morally questionable.
Legion - If his data is saved, he's not really "dying."
Everyone surviving ftw, though

1) Thane - he is going to die anyway.
2) Samara - don't like that arrogant b!tch. Or Morinth - she is sociopathic b!tch.
3) Jack - one more sociopathic b!tch.

What? That certainly isn't the reason why I'd let her die, but she is totally racist in ME1. Sure, she starts getting over it, but that's only after she has already rubbed me the wrong way.Yana Montana wrote...

I wouldn't say she is racist.
With regards to Garrus, she understandably has a mistrust of Turians, given the events of the First contact war most humans do.
With regards to Wrex, he's a merc, he has no loyalty, no allegiance, he could be gathering intel on us for all we know.
Yes she doesn't trust aliens, but since she's never actually worked with them, how can you expect her to.

Right, cause comparing Aliens to Dogs isn't racism, sure believe that if you will.
That's just taken out of context.
edit:if anything, she's saying that she believes that aliens would consider humanity to be like dogs, and would sacrifice us for their own survival
