Miranda and Jacob because they're Cerberus... and Zaeed because of his actions at the refinery, although he's quite cool in many ways (just not as awesome as the rest of the squad).

If DLC characters don't count...   Grunt, I guess.  I really like him, but I just like the other characters more.

I actually have a bit of a soft spot for him too...  On my Insanity playthrough, I took him on every mission involving the Blue Suns plus a fair few involving the Eclipse, and was pleased to see some extra lines from him here and there.  He's a cool character!  It's just that, once I get beyond Jacob and Miranda, I have to choose a number three, and no one else has put a mission at risk like Zaeed did (insofar as I recall, anyway).

Seeing Vido's fate I think that leaving Zaeed to die is bad idea. REALLY bad idea.

 1/ Jack : too dangerous to keep her in the team
2/ Zaeed : the character I like the least
3/ Tali : She did her time and I want a significant death in ME2.

Jacob, Thane, and Jack.

Because I used them only for their loyalty missions (and where you have no choice in the first two missions with Jacob).

I just don't care at all for them.  They're wholly extraneous IMO.  The whole game of ME2 has way too many squaddies.

Samara/Morinth, Jack, Thane, Zaeed, and Kasumi could all be removed and not have much effect on the overall story.  Jacob's unfortunately the Blue Oni to Miranda's Red Oni, so he's stuck.

Garrus really doesn't either, but he has the protection from that list by virtue of being an old ME1 squaddie.

In fact, I'm betting we don't see them at all in the ME2 movie equivilant.

Wow Alot of Jacob and Miranda posts and mostly because they aren't liked or "boring" I DO agree that Jacob is the human equivalent of Garrus, Garrus is all "oh justice this, justice that oh am I doing the RIGHT thing" and Jacob's only with Cerberus because they're Doing the right thing, plus Jacob was a main character of his own damn game. Miranda, besides being super hot, is actually one of the better Squadmates because of her versatily (with a  locust smg and her powers she can practically win battles by herself.)

but for my real list since my last was a joke on page 1:
