IE has been glitchy under my Win7 in more ways than just dropping my social-BW login info. So I tried Selene's idea and loaded up Firefox. Used it 2 or 3 times for general surfing including popping in here to the forum. That was about a week ago. Curiously, I haven't had any IE amnesia problems since. fwiw
Social Bioware Site keeps logging me out for everything I do

This is really pathetic and at this point theres really no excuse for it. Hell I have to log in 8-10 times just to buy and download DLC, 5-6 time to post a message on the forums....its unbelievable. Whoever said the programmers of this site should be fired isnt going far enough, Bioware should take them to court and put them out on the street.
Still, I dont know what synapse in Bioware's brain misfired to get them to move from a perfectly stable forum site onto this trash. Their old site was so much better.
*Control-Cs just incase of another logout*
*User is now logged out*
*User is logged in*
*Control V*
Alright...attempt number two to post this message...
*Control-Cs again just in case of reoccurance*

Now that's a bit harsh. I have to put up with this problem every day and it can be outstandingly frustrating, but I'm betting it's pretty damn hard to figure out problems like these with so many variables. Site technicians have a lot to do and debugging something like this is probably a nightmare.

It's a website with a message forum, not a mass relay. Not even that much of a full featured message board. Plenty of other sites manage to make this technology work. When I was a web developer, I would have been fired if the site had this big a problem for this long.
HINT FOR WEB DEVELOPERS - Error Logging. Log any time someone is denied permission to post a message. I'm going to guess that the vast majority are angry users and not folks trying to post where they've no business posting.

I've had this problem aswell and i'll say it's VERY frustrating. It seems like unchecking the 'remember' box does aleviate the problem.
It always amazes when an official developer message board is buggy and yet small indipendent community forums run a lot smoother. And those people usually have very little experiance in web design to begin with.

I've been staying in the group boards mostly because the problem is nonexistent there. I groan every time I return to the forums and the problem begins again.

I had terrible trouble with this issue when Mass Effect 2 came out. I shrugged it off as a "growing pain" bug with the new site that would be sorted out in due time.
I'm now replaying ME2 and haven't been back to this site until now. I came with the intent to perhaps buying some of the ME2 DLCs - only to find that this bug STILL isn't fixed. This is ridiculous given that they have their marketplace tied into this site. I wouldn't buy the DLCs as a matter of principle based on this, but chalking it up to principles is moot given that can't buy them if I wanted to because I get logged out every time I try to get the appropriate page.

uncheck the box (remember me) and it works without a problem. Just have to login everytime you close and reopen IE

Yup I found that in some other old thread on the topic, although saying it "works without a problem" is relative given I still have to login every browser session, which isn't ideal. In any case, now I can actually avoid buying the DLC on principle instead of being prevented from buying itDecalGuy wrote...

I'd like to cut them some slack, but hundreds of thousands of other sites on the internet don't have a problem with their login's "Remember Me" functionality, so it's kind of inexcusable that after nearly a year they still haven't mastered some functionality that everyone else and their grandmother's website can do just fine...

This bug is the biggest reason I don't use this site. I can't do anything without getting logged out. I do not want to have to do a voodoo chicken dance to appease random gods of chance to get it working. I just won't use it. Everytime I click something, move a page, any action at all logs me out, even the act of posting. If this actually posts I'll be surprised.
This may only effect a small percentage, or a larger, but it's annoying enough to render the site unusable and undesirable - the sooner BioWare realises that and fixes it, the sooner they will have more users.
