In DAO the blood effect look like blood just rain down on you.      I did not like it that much.     do you thing it should be different in DA2?

I liked the blood spatter on models, the actual big blood spilled like decapitating or stabbing a dragon in the head looked sort of crap.

id rather Bioware focus on getting their mature rating through, well mature ideals.

Not just mindless blood splatter!

I can honestly say, my least favorite thing in DA:O was the blood splatter

i liked the blood but it wasnt realistic,

first of all, everyone had the same blood spatterrs on the same spot as soon as they get close to an enemy.

second, even if you just punched 1 enemy, your covered in blood.

3rd: blood vanishs on each area transition, not just on travelling on the world map.

4th, just happens once: you simply approch the mabari healing plant in the
Korcari wilds and you'll be covered in blood without any reason.

I hope they'll avoid those goofs in DA2.

It's raining spam.

And now back to something completely different, aka on-topic:

Hopefully with the new DA 2 graphics the 'blood from above' blood effect will be
replaced ass well.

I didn't really have a problem with the blood in DAO... however there's no need for it to be excessive, especially to the point that it is "Kill Bill" style. Best to have a mix between DAO's blood (blood puddle after death, beheading) and a more realistic system (i.e. you aren't sprinkled with blood the minute you strike an enemy with your weapon).

i also wonder, none of the NPC's wonder why we are covered in blood or something.

maibe there should be something like a blood recognition for the NPC's that if you have blood on you it improves/deproves the conversation.

and then again we should be able to "wash it off" really realistic then

I generally like bloody games, but this blood splatter on characters looked stupid. I'd prefer big bloodstains - that's what you get when blood pumping from a torn artery. A big stain with a bit of splatter around.

I enjoyed the gore effects but they really should make it more realistic. I also wouldnt mind if you did a finisher for every kill too.

If you turn off the persistent gore on characters (which I did, I though it looked silly) you still get to see blood when you do a finisher. I hope they scrap that persistent gore thing altogether, I think it is just excessive and doesn't contribute that much to realism, at least not in the form it was in DA:O.

It always bothered me walking into the Landsmeet covered in blood and no one even acknowleding it.  Really?  This doesn't hurt my credibility even a little?
