I liked the blood spatter on models, the actual big blood spilled like decapitating or stabbing a dragon in the head looked sort of crap.

Not just mindless blood splatter!
I can honestly say, my least favorite thing in DA:O was the blood splatter

first of all, everyone had the same blood spatterrs on the same spot as soon as they get close to an enemy.
second, even if you just punched 1 enemy, your covered in blood.

4th, just happens once: you simply approch the mabari healing plant in the
Korcari wilds and you'll be covered in blood without any reason.
I hope they'll avoid those goofs in DA2.

It's raining spam.
And now back to something completely different, aka on-topic:
Hopefully with the new DA 2 graphics the 'blood from above' blood effect will be
replaced ass well.

maibe there should be something like a blood recognition for the NPC's that if you have blood on you it improves/deproves the conversation.
and then again we should be able to "wash it off" really realistic then

If you turn off the persistent gore on characters (which I did, I though it looked silly) you still get to see blood when you do a finisher. I hope they scrap that persistent gore thing altogether, I think it is just excessive and doesn't contribute that much to realism, at least not in the form it was in DA:O.

It always bothered me walking into the Landsmeet covered in blood and no one even acknowleding it. Really? This doesn't hurt my credibility even a little?
