Ok not sure what the deal is.  But half the forums on this site I can post in and it seems like half are locked out for me.  And it doesn't seem to be in any order.  Just random forums for each game.  Any info on why this might be and how I can fix it?

Several fora require game registrations.

I've registered both DA:O and ME2.  Can't register DA: Awakening though since I got it from XBOX game store download...is there a way to contact a site admin to have it looked into?

DA:O is not showing as registered for you, try registering again. I don't believe Awakening is required anywhere.

If it's any consolation: I couldn't access (i.e. read) Dragon Age's Toolset General Discussion forum either a few hours ago. I'm not sure what the cause of the issue was there, but half an hour later I could once again read the forum.

I can read any forum. I just can't reply in half of them. Which is strange because there's no seeming order to it. I can post in SOME DA forums and SOME ME1/2 forums. I don't get it. And I can't register my DA:O because it says the UPC is invalid. Yet I've had this copy since the game released.

Edit: Ok so it appears that the ME2 forums are now all open for me.  Anything in DA that is either spoilers warning or spoilers allowed is locked out from me to post in...

I am in the same boat as monkey. I have both DAO and ME2 registered but still have seemingly random posts locked to me to post in. Who puts up the block? The post creator? If thats the case it is lame. Because I don't have somethings registered they are allowed to keep me from posting my opinion? Isn't that what the forums are for? Would like a forum mod to clarify whats going on. Thank you in advance.

If individual topics are locked then a moderator did that. And usually topics are locked for a reason (spam, off-topic, etcetera, ...). If you can't post anything in any topic on an entire forum, then you simply don't have the right privileges (game not registered for instance).

Of note, a locked topic will also display the same error message as a restricted forum, namely that you are not allowed to post in that particular forum.

Ok so where are the links to contact a moderator since I have DA in my hand and I absolutely cannot register the game, its says my UPC in invalid?

Which is rather dumb since the only reason I can think of for that is that someone was trying to register codes for content or something. Content which I have already used in my own account already so nice try better luck next time if that's the case. Its just a pain when I have the game, I have beaten the game, I have beaten the expac and yet I cannot take part in the discussions since either the website, the super retarded DA account link to 360 or some jerkoff registering unknowned UPC's is being idiotic and preventing me from taking part...

Just to be sure, you are including all 12 (13) digits, right?

Yes, I called the technical support number. I think its something to do with all this multiple Bioware/EA/DragonAge account jackassery. I first went through the registration screen on my Xbox when I originally purchased the game as opposed to here. Though prior to that I had downloaded the character creater thing before game release, which never did actually sync up with the Xbox live and all that nonsense. I'm going through steps and trying to get everything on the same page. Hopefully that will do it...

I know when I bought ME2 I registered here on the Bioware and EA websites as opposed to through the Xbox menu and it all went through fine. So here's to hoping.

For posterity, what did they tell you to do?
