That scene takes place during the first minutes of the game.

More info:

1) The article has a description of a magic fatality. "A giant black hand grabs an ogre and squeezes the blood out of him".

2) It also says that DA2 is 3 times longer than DAO(!!!), though I'm almost sure the journalists are mistaken on that part, probably because Bioware told them about the 10-year span of the story. That doesn't necessarily mean that the game itself will be longer.

3) Matt Goldman, the art director, lists two major inspirations for the new art style.

Matt also made a remark that this doesn't mean the whole game will have simple environments like the desert we have seen. Everything is still very detailed, just more stylized.

4) An example of more dynamic combat. When you order an archer to shoot a target, he already has an arrow ready for that so he can act almost instantly instead of pulling the arrow out of the quiver etc.

I don't really see how this spoils anything or how we know for sure that this is Flemeth at all but thanks for posting this. Where did you find it?

It is from a russian game magazine. I put a spoiler alert in the title for the following reasons:

a) This screenshot is clearly a continuation of the dragon scene from the images released earlier.

Not everyone has read the full Gameinformer article which spoils the fact that the dragon is actually Flemeth.

And we know that woman is Flemeth because GI's wallpaper with her was named Flemethblablabla.jpg

That is Flemeth. The wallpaper from GI identified her. Nice screen shot...is that um a dragon wing next to her? Kind of rigid for a cloak.

Yeah that cloak gives me hope that we will see PhysX-emulated cloth. Awesome for mages wearing robes!

That COULD be Loethering... Thus explaining where we met Flemeth .

Well that seems unlikely since by that time we killed  OR at least newly picked up the quest from the Morrigan ( which requires to complete The Broken Circle quest line. )

I don't think she can change bodies that fast after she slain by us.

OR that old hag was just a mere puppet of her to gain some time to find a new body and meet the ''destined '' Hawke ! ( too much theory ! I .... must ...stop.. ) 

But then again , what do we really KNOW about her anyways ? she is a total mistery besides the legends and shapeshifting into a Friggin High Dragon.

It's not a cloak. Probably the wing of a downed dragon not visible or something like that. The pic isn't exactly high res.

Well, it is a scan. Anyway, that can't be a dragon's wing because Flemeth IS the dragon.

Origin -> Ostagar -> Loethering  -> first main quest = buring of Loethering ... so how could you slay Flemeth before the town gets burned?




It also confirms my expectation that you meet Flemeth right at the beginning of the game.

This means the dragon on that other conceptart will be the dragonform of Flemeth where she meets Hawke and his sis, most likely this is the place where she gets roasted then.

Well, I guess you may get the choice to have your sister survive for about the same lenght as the king in Oblivion if you pick apropiate dialogue choices then
