I'm looking forward to finding out more about her character, but I really hope she doesn't die an hour into the game. They seem to do that a lot and she looks ripe for it. I remember when everybody wanted to know who the last secret part member was in DA:O and everybody was, ironically, hoping for either Ser Jory, Daveth, or Duncan. Sorry to disappoint, folks.

Not to point fingers, but for some of you talking about *that* really disgusting topic, not only was the thread that will not be named locked, but I know a few people that got the Ban Hammer by Gaider and Priestly from that stupid idea of a subject; so, word to the wise, stop trying to *Shock* people and move on to something else.

In the hopes of keeping this Thread something decent, I did have a cool story thought about Bethany's Mage status. We know Hawke is a Mage when the game starts, or, rather, you can choose that as his class. If Hawke and Bethany are not currently on the run in Lothering when the game starts, does that mean *Both* are apostates? Or, even cooler, is Bethany the only one fleeing the Circle and can be, in fact, Hawke's Magic Teacher?

Learning to be a Mage from his sister, than becoming *far* more powerful would be a pretty awesome idea. You could even have Bethany come to resent her brother's/sister's talent, creating a great emotional story point.

grandparents, especially if there are no other cats around, also neither
of those two are natural for humans

I think she's the little sister, since it'd undermind your dominant leader role if she was older then you... so I find it unlikely that she was in the circle and you weren't, but I think you theory would work just as well the other way around, you learning your sister magi, to help her protect herself?
