So I was playing Dragon Age two hours ago no worries. I turn it off have dinner and then it wants to install and update. I (stupidly) do it.

Now it freezes trying to load up my save file. It starts loading, and then the squigly logo thing stops spinnings and it just freezes and that's it. The whole Xbox freezes, not just the game.

So whatever you guys just did - REVERSE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. True. Just a question here: Do you play on the new xbox 360? I have this problem as well after the new update. And the game worked fine on my new 360 before that, so it's definitely the new update (1.04)

Having the same issue with the new system. Got one save to load but it froze shortly there after.

But um... I just got this game, and from what I've read, I had thought that they didn't do patches for console versions. Does this mean the dex bug is fixed or something?

Of course they do patches for consoles, but it just takes longer time. And about the dex bug. Yes, it should be fixed in this patch, but can't test it out due to the game crash.

i have this issue too however when i play the game offline i got a message stating that all my downloadable content was corrupted. I re-downloaded everything even removing my saves but the game still freezes. Did anyone else have this trouble?

I cleared the system cache of my xbox. That deleted the update. Now when I start the game I just ignore the update and can play again. But they should really fix this as soon as possible.

i guess we wait until BW fixes the issue? until then (dumb question perhaps) how do i clear the cache system on the xbox?

You have no idea how comforting it is to know that this bug is affecting other people. I of course mean that i sympithise. I was so pissed this morning when all my saves froze. I was 30 hrs in and had just killed a dragon! (not gunna say wich one, could count as a spoiler. ) i just hope ither xunobulax tells us how to remove that cache, or bioware fixes that update soon. theirs no way in hell im starting over, so imma just go play Lost Planet 2......try to finally beat that level and get that achievement for beating it on hard. >.<

Feeling with you. New Xbox and finally a useful title update for our game and now you have new problems. But does that mean MS doesnt own a slim on their own for Certification processes? lol. Wish ya luck, perhaps clearing the cache works for you.

Having the same problem.  New Xbox 360.  System locks up during load.  Apeears to be about the same place every time. 

Would be more then a bit disappointing if I had to restart.  I was close to the end.  [For my first character, at least.  ]

Thanks alot xunobulax, I was wondering where it was! I remember seeing a cache thing on my xbox somewhere . Anyway, ill just remove that now and deny the update untill i hear somewhere (preferably on this thread) that BW patched the patch....lol.

Well, clearing the cache is a waist of time if you have DLC. Unless your on live, or you accept the update, it renders the DLC corrupted, least thats what it said for me, and the xbox will refuse to let you online unless you allow the update. so i guess im forced to put away the best game ever untill BW fixes this issue....damn.

First let me say I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're experiencing. Second, thanks for the reports, all. Something of importance for us to know is whether or not anyone experiencing this issue has an older style Xbox or if you all have the newer Xbox360 slim version?

im having the same trouble. i cant load new games or saved games. the trouble started after the latest patch. i have a 360 slim.
