I'm in trouble again. I have cleaned out the Beholder's lair but when I cross that darned bridge it will not let me get get off it and continue further. When I first crossed it was more of a fluke, I think there was some sort of puzzle involved with the gate but I was tired and couldn't fathom it out so when it released me I crossed it in darkness. There must be a way to escape the bridge without having to redo the whole beholders etc part of the game.

Hmmm...........by any chance, can you use the Relic of the Reaper to transport somewhere (such as Lith My'athar)?

If all else fails, there's a console command you can use to jump to the other side.
Edit:
dm_jumptopoint 30 55 q2a7_underdark
should do it.

Okay, unfortunately I cannot use the Relic as I have to anchor it to a place and I havn't done this. The Console command - I am using a mouse and keyboard - dont know how to execute this command. I tried typing this in when the game was open and no dice. I'm afraid unless I am given baby instructions I have no clue how to even try this suggestion.

Recarding the Relic, there actually is an automatic bind in the Temple
where the Seer is.
But to use the console command:
In the chatbar (where it says "talk") type
## DebugMode 1
then press enter. Next type
## dm_jumptopoint 30 55 q2a7_underdark
then press enter and click on your character. They should now jump. After this type
## DebugMode 0
and press enter.
All done.
