Tali and Liara. They are civilians who joined Shepard because they realized what was at stake and wanted to help (ok, and because Shep saved their butts). Not saying the others don't but some follow Shepard because it is their job (Ash, Kaidan, Miranda, Jacob, Zaeed, Kasumi, to some extent even Legion), some because they want action (Wrex, Grunt), some for personal reasons (Thane for redemption, Garrus because he is frustrated with C-Sec and wants to hunt Saren), others traded their assistance for help from Shepard (Jack, Samara and Mordin). Tali and Liara could just have said: "Thank you for saving me, here is the information that is critical for your mission, goodbye" (see Shiala). They didn't, so i wouldn't let them die.
