1. Garrus Vakarian
He's Cmdr. Mary-Anne Shepard's husband-to-be. He comes first in my eyes. Always.

2. Samara
The Code of the Justicar is my Shepard's code as well. In addition, because Mary-Anne is a Sentinel, her biotics and Samara's will work well together.

3. Urdnot Grunt
I had trouble deciding between Grunt and Wrex. In the end, I decided to go with Grunt because he is young, has a long life ahead of him, and is unfailingly loyal to his Battlemaster.

If it's ME2 squadmates, there's not much debate: Samara, Jack, and Thane.



If it's all, then that's a bit tougher. I'd probably save Samara, Jack, and Kaidan, instead, simply because, versus Thane, both Samara and Kaidan have more life ahead of them.



Jack is sort of a must, but not so much out of fanboyism. It's simply that, after doing her Paragon romance, it's pretty clear that she would spend her last moments feeling like you betrayed her, or at least let her die. She would die and have confirmed the dim view of people she's been struggling with for the entire game.

Gotta save Tali, Legion, and Morden for strictly "plot" reasons ... I figure the Quarians, Geth, and potential Genophage cure are too important to risk in ME3 so you have to save them.



Samara would be next on the list to save because she's likely got a lot of pull with the Asari so we could get them into the game easily enough ... I think

My fav characters are from ME1, as seems to be the case with a lot of people here.

Although I never liked Wrex or Ashley much. The ME2 squad mates are cool, too. Miranda and Jacob are the only two I'm indifferent to.
