I like grey choices and consequences in games; to have this, we have to presented with no black or white choices. Tough choices that will come to haunt you later, choices that feel like they are real ones. Do you kill a human (in the game) or do let them all three live (in the game)?

It has been said repeatedly that this game: DA: Origins will have tought choices set in dark and sinister world. And it has...apparently.

And that's the POINT, to have difficult choices, and not just black/white choices that a 4 year old could make without hesitation.

It's not black and white choice, she is talking about choices between things she doesn't care. Like you have to choose between playing Crysis on Very High 8xAA @ 1920x1200 with average 60 FPS or spending night with Megan Fox but not both. It's grey choice because either way you will loose something important for you. If I was forced to choose between Israel or Palestine I would just toss a coin because I don't loose anything.

The review is strange and very hard to translate -- parts of it are written almost as a stream of consciousness and not all that coherent. She makes a lot of valid points that have been made before: this is yet another fantasy game with all the trappings thereof, there are silly amounts of blood, many of the dialog choices are not meaningful (i.e. you get the same result regardless of what choice you make), etc. etc. Some of the comments directly contradict other reviews (e.g. she says the AI is bad). It's basically nitpicking without ever explicitly mentioning why a lot of people might like this game; she focuses almost entirely on the negative without considering the positive.

The video is more interesting. Did anyone else notice that Edge of Reality is listed as a co-developer for the 360/PS3 versions? I wonder what that's about.

Well, it's her point of view, maybe the same from some people who won't buy dragon age.
good video!

There's supposed to be silly amounts of blood (did she turn of the elavated gore in the options menu?) in the game; comic relief I believe it is called. There is meant to be so much blood that you'll laugh at it.

Meaningfull dialogue in a story-driven game is difficult to make, you have to move the story forward at some point. On the other hand, she complained about having to choose sides?

Conventions say that a fantasy game is to have dwarfs, elves, mages, and yes, humans. DA's take on this is a bit altered as it is the traditional or conventional dwarfs, elves, mages, etc. we have to deal with in this game.

DA: Origin's problems might be that a game that came out in 2007, called The Witcher already took dwarfs, elves and mages in a different direction than most fantasy rpgs have done before.

I wouldn't take that review seriously, as the author is well known for her incompetence, inadequate judgement and lack of common sense. I remember the magazine she worked in previously has been forced once to completely remake a review under the pressure of it's readers, so bad it was (no trolling, btw). And as we can't currently check her statements, I am judging the work by the author. :)

After playing through half of this game I can totally agree with that reviewer. DAO is boring, unbalanced and VERY frustrating. Deleted it from my hdd.
Still waiting for ME2, but I have feeling that it will be last game from Bioware that I will play.
