I'm planning to come back to Baldur's Gate and play through the whole game again. I don't feel like dealing with the BG1 interface, so I'm going to install the BGT (I think that's what it's called?) mod. I'd also like to try a few other mods out, but am not really sure which ones are good/will be compatible with each other. So, my question is this:
If you were planning to play through the BG series with the BGT mod tomorrow, what mods would you install for your playthrough?
I'm hoping that those of you who are more experienced with both BG and its mods will be able to help me out with a list of what you yourself would install. I'm also hoping that phrasing the question in this way will avoid anyone coming back with questions about what style of player I am before they make recommendations; I'd rather see your lists and select one for myself.
Also, if there's anything I would need to know about install order, please let me know as I'm hopelessly incompetent with figuring that sort of stuff out on my own. Thanks in advance!

If I were to pick some mods, including BGT but without going overboard, I'd pick these mods (and install them in this order):
G3 Fixpack
1PP
BGT
BG1 NPC mod
gMinion
SCS
SCSII
D0Tweaks
BG2 Tweak Pack
aTweaks
If I were to remove the "without going overboard" requirement, the list would be about twice as long, but it would mostly be flavour and situational stuff.

thanks, this list looks great and is just the sort of thing I'm looking for!
What would some of your "flavour" choices be?

Oh, maybe RR, Aurora, PPG Banterpack, IEP banters and maybe the friendship stuff, Level 1 NPCs if I wanted to tweak an NPC. Some people like BG1 UB and BG2 UB, but personally I think they are mostly either superfluous or detrimental to the enjoyment (BG1 UB is less so than BG2 UB, I think). Ascension's pretty popular among BG fans too (but it's a significant step up in difficulty). The list goes on, but I'll leave it at that. There's a list here for the installation order for almost every BG mod.welcomehome160 wrote...
