I'm sure this has been asked a lot, but I was wondering if we can wear helmets but not have to look at them.

I'm one of those people running around with no helmet on just because of how rediculous it makes me look in DA:A.  (I modded out of looking at helmets in DA:O.  Sadly there is no mod for DA:A yet to remove the helmets.)

The helmets already mysteriously fly off everyone's head every time there is a cut scene or conversation. They aren't holding their helmets or wearing a backpack. it's like they fling them off-set and then milliseconds later engage in battle with them appearing again. How realistic is that?

Besides, I asked if we can toggle it. Would it kill you if you were able to see your balloon mage hats while others like me toggled them off?

Could we get a toggle for the graphics too? I'd rather just see the text feedback. =]

Yes, I would like to have the option to toggle whether to see them or not. Some of the helmets on warriors looked quite good, the wizard head-thingy however did not.

Those of us from the ME forums won't be ecstatic to see this thread...

I've never played ME since I'm not really into that genre, is it really a controversial issue? Seems like a simple non-issue to me after playing a lot of MMO's where you can always toggle it off as a basic option (which nearly everyone takes advantage of unless they found a special hat).

I'm of the opinion that if you don't like what something looks like, you shouldn't put it on. Toggles... ugh.

I hope there is going to be a way to do so. I like seeing the characters' faces and hairstyles and I'm not looking for realism.

Shepard drinks through his helmet... it's bad...

I wouldn't call it* a controversial issue, just an overcooked* one. With so many threads about it in the past, I am certain the developers know many players want it, so no more threads are necessary and the developers will either give a helmet toggle option or not...

And when the game comes out and there is no helmet toggle, there will be whiners. And I will make sad face Posted Image

I don't see why preferring to see the helmets yourself is reason to be against letting other customers turn their helmets off if you still have the ability to keep yours on. Just seemed like a basic option in MMOs and some other RPGs.

I'm at least happy that our appearance can change. There are so many RPGs where your characters look a certain way regardless of what you have them wear.

I made a poll about it. 1616 votes later, 90% of people want it.

I hope there is a toggle for helmets. I usually put a lot of time into making my PC look just the way I want so I don't want to hide the face with helmets. I also like to see the faces of partymembers when in conversation.

But if there isn't a toggle I just won't wear helmets *shrug* I did that in DAO and it didn't hurt my gameplay.
