hehe.. I'm curious because I thought he's male, but quite a few forum posters here refer to 'IT' as her or she.

For the record, we used a female voice actor for Shale and then pitch-shifted her already gravelly voice down to sound deeper and more masculine. We're very happy with how it turned out in the end and I think we successfully managed to capture the ambiguity we were going for.
