had the game since launch, no issues till now. No saves load, cannot start a new game.

I posted this on another forum before I saw this. whoops! I got off work, came home, and installed that stupid update about 20 mins ago! And immediately, WHAM! No more dragon age for me. It still allows me to load games on awakening, and I also just did an update for it. However, with origins, I can not upload a previously saved or a new game. It will say "loading" and go for about 3 of the screens where you change it and then it will freeze. The entire system will. I have to completely unplug my xbox to get it to reboot. I also have the slim. I have all of the DLC and everything, minus Leliana's song.

I have a 360 slim and cannot load any save or even start a new game without deleting the system cache and playing offline. I tried deleting all DLC except Stone Prisoner for the new game.

Is it like the infamous "Feral Wolf Charm/Memory Band" issue, where it'd freeze whenever you try to load a save when NOT online? (I haven't had Origins online in months, and definitely plan not to for a while, until all this is fixed)

Had to redownload some itens that were appearing only as purchased. Then game loaded and worked normally. Will test more later on.

Just got home and booted Dragon Age on my Xbox 360 Slim and was met with a Title Update which then told me that I couldn't resume or load my game because the Helm of Deep from the "Dragon Age: Journeys"  game was not present anymore.  After redownloading the Helm I was able to select access Resume but it crashed on the loading screen.  The other two items from the flash game still said Downloaded  not sure if they were part of the pack that was redownloaded with the Helm.  I cleared the system cache and was able to finally load my previous save game where I took off the Helm and created a new save.  Re-downloading the Title Update I was met with the same crash on the loading screen.  Hope this helps.

I can play it on my 360 slim as long as I am off line now that I cleared my system cache. However, the patch royally screwed all of my DLC and no matter how many times i try to delete/re download them all without the patch, it's not letting me use them. It says they are corrupted as soon as I get to the game's title screen. Like I said before, I can create a new game and play perfectly with no problems as long as I am not signed into xbox live. However my previously saved games will give me " the DLC associated with this game is corrupt" and will not let me open the files. I'm so sad I was at the arch demon. Dang.

New Xbox Slim. Game installed on the hard drive. Only DLC is Shale character. Patch applied in just a few seconds and game rebooted. PRESS START prompt. RESUME GAME menu selected. Spinning red glyph for 10-15 seconds (Loading...) then stopped spinning. Music stopped a couple seconds later. Could not call up Xbox menu. Could not call up CONTROLLER/CONSOLE OFF menu (pressing or holding down the XBOX button respectively.) Only response was from front panel eject or silver ON/OFF button. Loading a different save, same result. Did not try starting a new game. Deleting cache works. At least I can still play the game.

I did the same thing as Roget but it still says my DLC is corrupt... Why hasn't MS updated it so that it doesn't ask for this update and just patches 1.04

why dont they revert to the old patch NOW so i can actually play? this is some of the biggest bull**** ive seen on xbox since the mw2 stimulus package crash. Jesus christ i dont expect this from infinity ward never mind a trusted company Bioware on a single player game that i cant play unless i play offline. im seriously fed up it wouldve taken them less then an hour to upload the old patch and have it set to replace this. I just borrowed this game from my brother and ive had it less than 24 hours. get your act together Bioware now. Your seriously starting to lose customers the way your beginning to do things. It seems like your more about the rush and the money than your actual fans. theres no reason this game should have so many loading bugs and glitches (im not counting legitimate in game bugs, they happen), never mind patches that completely crash the game.

2010 spring arcade xbox works fine with the patch....and a request how bout fixing that Ogre's Keeper achievement, eh eh? Still bugged. I was actually hoping it'll be fixed... from the "Achievement images and messages will now display properly" portion...I guess not.

Would be nice to have some update on what is going on after they completely broke the game


XBox 360S, updated both Origins and Awakening. Awakening seems ok can start a new game, however as many many others Origins freezes on loading any saves.


Some update please on when a fix will be given

decided to upgrade to the 360S since I needed more storage for dlc and decided today would be the day I dl'ed Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song and Return to Ostragar. Title update as well. And then nothing. Tried everything already mentioned before coming on here. Happy to know Bioware is trying to fix it.

If you keep freezing in the Loading just Delete Cache it should work. I have the Slim too and i had the same problem just deleted the Cache and didn't update till there's a fix. its better than not playing.

To those who are having problems; please do the following:



(1) Look at the back of your 360.

(2) There should be a plate or sticker with the machine's manufacture date.

(3) When sending the info to Victor, include manufacture date. That should help narrow the range of machines that don't like the patch.

I think its just the Slims or newer Xbox 360s that are affected by the new update.

 Lockup here too.  I own collectors edition so I have all of that DLC.  I also purchased the Ostagar DLC and Soldiers Peak.  Once the patch was installed, I noticed that in the DLC section it listed my Memory Band and Feral Wolf Charm as "purchased" and not "downloaded" like it was before this patch.  I ignored this and tried to resume my game when I got a pop up stating I needed to download them both.

I downloaded both items again, attempted to resume my game...got to the loading screen and froze after about 20-30 seconds.

I have the new 360S and have been playing DA on it nonstop over the past week.

Can't you guys just rollback the patch for now?  With it still being out there....you are creating a larger problem.  I have the day off from work today and was REALLY looking forward to playing.  Not happy right now.  

BioWare has always been a grade A company...Don't let EA turn you into a pile of **** like its done with its other aquisitions.

This was my experience, lost 2 items on my Elite but otherwise things appear to be normal.

I tried to clear the system cache and not update, but I got the message that my DLC was corrupt. I got a reply from the ea customer support, but they needed me to answer some questions. Once they tell me anything useful I'll post it here
