I decided to bite the bullet when Embri's Many Pockets mysteriously uninstalled itself again, preventing me from accessing any of my saves unless I updated again, and downloaded the patch. My Arcade (Purchased in January 2010) with a 120GB hard drive that came with my old Elite (purchased on June 2008) is working fine with it for the moment.

My game freezes every time i try to load my game including DLC

It seems to only work witht he console you paid for the dlc on or something IDK check the temp fix forum the guy there explains it...

I just bought the game and it freezes during the dialogue after character creation, i have an old 360

I'm using the new 360 Slim with the 250GB HD. Cleared out my cache this morning, started a new game and it seemed to work fine, though I declined the update when asked to install. I didn't bother loading up my saved file in case something else went wrong. I probably won't use my saved file until after the patch issue is cleared up because I was planning on getting all the DLC. I already have Shale at this point but I'm not going to download anything or play my saved file again just to be on the safe side.

I have no problem. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I bought my console (the pro with 60 GB) on Christmas 2008.



it just goes to show why patches can't be released all willy-nilly. In the future, certification should be done on the Slim model too

Anytime now Bioware...should not take you almost a day just to go back a patch or make a new one

Since this is such a serious issue (game completely unplayable in any way), might I suggest a patch to remove the latest patch? At least in the short term.

OR, convince Microsoft to make the patch optional, so we can decline the update and still remain connected to Xbox Live?

Hey guys, I'm sure they're doing all they can. I know it sucks but hang tight, they'll have it fixed as soon as they are able (it's not like they're pulling a Dr. Evil and laughing manically while all thier fans are unable to play the game they poured years into making). Maybe delete your cache and check out a new Origin or character

Just got off the phone from EA.
Apparently they are not aware of this problem. Unfortunately being first line support I tried alsorts like wiping my saves. trying another HDD, and almost launching the XBOX across the room.

Go to system settings
Memory
Press Y
Delete cache

DO NOT accept update.

I don't think it's the waiting for an update/fix that gets under some people's skins, but rather the lack of knowing what the status is. Personally, I wouldn't mind hearing "we're still working on it" repeatedly by someone at Bioware, as at least it would be some sort of an update to what's happening.

It's silly really - I only recently went back to playing the game and have been balancing my time between DA, Fallout and Borderlands, but now that I CAN'T play DA, I seem to be suffering some weird sort of "withdrawal" for a game that has sat in my collection for a while without being touched lol!

Well, here's to a fix soon and my best to everyone who is slogging through the wait period, too...

Ok I have not updated yet after seeing all these Wonderful posts! But I'm noticing a pattern of those with the Slim having the issue. Has anyone with and Older XBOX had the problem too? (Elites, Halo, Normal white, Newer SE)?

I run the Final Fantasy 13 white elite edition of the xbox and mine runs fine patched with 1.04, with my save game files and DLC.  DLC I use are RTO, WK and Shale.  Not sure if that's helpful or not but hey, you asked

MW2 console. I downloaded the update on july 21 @ 0200 hours upon initial release and encountered no problems other than the audio was buggy, and a few minor glitches. Played well for approx 6 hours on 7-21. Noticed today there was another update. It seemed odd there would be 2 patches within 24 hours, and saw this gagglef**k here. Gamesaves show damaged. Downloaded 2nd patch. Negatve results. No xbox live updates. My guess is something jacked up on EA's end.

That does help abit. I'm running the same XBOX, the FF13.  I have all DLC, with the exceptions of Awakenings is in disc form instead of DLC.  I'll wait a few more days before I resume my Thief's game-play.

I should note that I do not have awakenings yet.  After reading how bugged it is on the forums I figured I'd wait til after this patch to get it.

I have the original white version of the 360. Only bought the game yesterday....downloaded the patch as ofcourse why would i expect it to be back, now the game freezes in the opening dialogue after creating a character....hope there is a fix for this soon

So now i'm able to pull up a pre-update gamesave, but nothing after 7-21. Wtf!

People keep bringing this up, and I really wish they would stop.  If you don't accept he update you aren't allowed to be signed into Xbox Live, which means that none of your DLC can be authorized, so the best you can do is play the game with NONE of your DLC.  That is worthless.  It's not a fix, or a workaround and I really wish people would stop acting like this is "good enough" until the real issue gets fixed.
