Guess someone was thinking of Steamplay, which I'd say is only sort of free because you still need to pay for the Windows version, and which as you say does not apply to ME anyway because there is no Mac version at all. But I play Windows games on a Mac Pro bootcamped into Windows (and with a decent video card installed because the ones Apple put in as standard aren't all that great) and it's just fine. Bloody expensive way of doing things compared to just going and getting a PC, but if you have a Mac for other reasons and a spare Windows licence then it makes as much sense and lets you play a lot of games that either won't come out for OS X for ages or won't come out at all. My guess is that the ME series is in the second category and will never have a Mac version.reverend500 wrote...

Mass Effect 1 and 2 ARE available for the Mac. Bought any ME games on Steam? You get the Mac versions free (except for ME3 which is not available on Steam).
Now this is one big lie....
There is no Mac version of any ME game, only if you:
1) Run it on bootcamped Windows
2) Run it under OS X through Wine but thats awful graphics and crashes
So no, you cant get any ME game on Steam nor for free nor for money, they dont exist for mac.
