Doubt it, Bioware would provide us with a update when it's fixed :)

Hello, the patch hasn't been completely fixed yet. Rest assured we're still working hard on it. As soon as we have an update we'll communicate it.

edit: I should clarify and re-iterate, the people experiencing problems are Xbox 360 slim owners and some owners of Xbox 360 elites. For those that have installed it and not experienced problems... well... I hear it works nicely. If you are experiencing issues please give Victor's thread a visit here and drop him a line. We're collecting as much information as possible while we work with Microsoft to resolve the issue.

The patch works for me, I just want to make sure I can sell asm uch as I want so the corrupt save problem does not happen, that's what I am asking.

Hi, in regards to that - yes, that particular issue should be fixed with this upcoming patch as soon as we can sort out the Xbox 360 Slim/Elite issues. Unless mine eyes deceive me, previous posters in this thread have verified that.

Hi Chaotic Johnny, your issue may be related to the recent 1.03 title update rollback we had to implement.

If you take a look at Victor's announcement thread above in the forums here, sadly savegames made while the 1.04 title update was in effect will not load.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We're still working with Microsoft to try and resolve the issues occurring with the other Xbox 360 consoles, and when that's done we can then re-release the 1.04 title update.

Hi all (Nathan in particular if you're still reading)

As I've managed to hang on to update 1.04 (because I don't connect to xbox live on every start up) will this lead to any problems with the new version of patch 1.04 when it's released?

Thanks for any help, L

Hi Lyora, no this should not result in any problems for you when the updated title update is released. We've been working closely with Microsoft and have a solid lead on the problem, and the planned fix should not adversely affect your game if you're still on the 1.04 title update and updating to the 1.04+fix title update.

Please note, however, that your Xbox will prompt you to update the game again once it's out in the wild.

I don't know if I am understanding this correctly, but from what i can figure out is that you (Bioware) have said that the corrupt save file bug has been fixed. WRONG!!! My newest character has just fallen victim to it.  I am on an Xbox 360 Core, I have the game installed to the hard drive, and yes I have used the money glitch and thats all. Also, I have NOT sold any items to any stores (early on i just destroyed extra items, and once the Soldier's Peak was finished I used the storage box there for everything extra). I don't understand why this glitch is still going on, what are you dimwits doing over there at Bioware. Also, if it is the money glitch that is causing this now, then why hasn't that glitch been fixed.

It just seems like games developers these days just don't really care about there (un)finished product, they just care about the greenbacks that are lining there pockets from game and dlc sales. It's a shame that now with the internet and the ability to update any game at any time that you guys at Bioware have known about these bugs and glitches since shortly after the game was released, and yet nothing has been done.

I love the games Bioware has made, Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic (1 & 2), Mass Effect (1 & 2), and Dragon Age. I have played them all with multiple playthroughs on all. But what I will tell you now is that if this corrupt file bug is not fixed for this game by the time DA2 is released, I will not be getting DA2 and will be getting rid of all of my Bioware games and will pass ME3 by as if it didn't even exist.

To silentsurveyor: the teams making Dragon Age and Mass Effect are different. While frustrations with the Dragon Age team (especially w/ Awakening and patches) is understandable in your lack of trust for future content and not purchasing is your right to influence their actions, taking it out on the Mass Effect team and their products is not reasonable. The Mass Effect team has patched most of the major issues they know what the cause is (I know there are still some issues like with Ish; my biggest gripe is the Samara loyalty sound issue but they don't even know what is causing it) and their products can be viewed as finished and whose patches don't destroy the game itself.

PS: I really hate that corrupt issue. The idea a 60+ hour save can be corrupted as well as the ones around it in an instant is frightening. My current warrior elf has almost busted the limit on the camp merchant and I cannot sell anymore more to him out of fear of corrupting the save. So I'm at a standstill until patch 1.04 is fixed.

HBC Dresden: I get your point on the Dragon Age/Mass Effect teams. My real issue is that this isn't the first character of mine that has fallen victim to the corrupt file bug, I also, as I said before, I don't and have not sold any items to any of the vendors in the entire game. I put any and all extra items in the chest available in Soldier's Peak. Unless they consider that a vendor as well. It has also happened to a character from the Awakenings Expansion. Now that I think back on it, both of the storage chests in both games are probably considered a vendor. That's probably where and when the corruption happens.

Yes, I should probably not take my aggravations out on the Mass Effect team. I've got an idea, bring some of them from Mass Effect over to help with the Dragon Age team, they seem to have no clue as to what is causing this.

P.S.: I just saw the Trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic, WOW!!! I can't not buy anymore Bioware titles if that game is going to be released, lol...

I never had a single issue with any of my save files on any of my other three characters until after all these updates.  After the latest I had to go through the EA account "setup" part again when I started up the game (all I had to do was reenter my password) and then all my in game settings had been reset.  I played for a few hours and finished all my side quests. My last save on my now corrupt character was an auto-save right after I finished Landsmeet.  I go to load up my character today and I have four corrupt files (one auto-save and three manual saves.)  My other characters all seem fine.

:( there goes over 40 hours of thorough game play (I had every side quest but the final Slim & Blackstone & Mage quests done and I had just finished Landsmeet, heading to the final battles.)  Oh, and I haven't downloaded any of the DLC for this game and now I'm not sure I want to anymore.

Chelle1120: If you have the updates (which I'm guessing you do) then the DLC for this game will work just fine. It's the updates that were made for the DLC that is causing all of this.

silentsurveyor: The issue you speak of has been addressed in our latest patch, but due to extenuating circumstances we had to roll back the deployed patch. We're working closely with Microsoft and expect the situation to be resolved soon.
