Will it's be improved? The pathing in dragon age was questionable.I guess it's the point and click syndrome.
I know it's not going to be a hack and slash game and you're probably going to keep the good ol Point e Click .But the pathing was most of the time pissing me off.Especialy when my character was surrounded and my PC would take 1 minutes before attacking an ennemy ..
What about the *pathing*

Can't be worse than Resident Evil 5 and Army of Two.
"Help me!"
"I'll be right there"
<runs around to Russia, purchases a hat and then goes to china for some noodles>
"I'm.. dying!"
"Coming partner!"
<arrives to your general area, goes right beside you and stands there a few seconds before moving away and climbing a ladder>

lol . Yes there's always worse but we're talking about DA:O!
When you right click for attacking a monster there was always a slight delay before attacking(probing the area for pathing!)
Than your PC start to move a bit and you're like NO! STAY HERE .. Than some monster block the path and your PC start to dance around the monster.

http://social.biowar...x/3182271/2Mike Laidlaw:
"So when you think about how kind of DAO played out in combat, you were playing tactically, you would issue orders, and say, ok, Alistair, I want you to move up and hit that guy, and then, what would happen, is that he would kind of move into position, line up, and THEN combat would begin. The question that we asked ourselves and the question that we posed to the Gameplay team was, is there a way that we can make it so that when I want you, you up there fighting, that that character moves in, and almost immediately starts attacking. If I want to cast a spell, do I want to stand their waggling my hands for a few minutes, or do I want rains of fire to come down from the sky. If anything, we're aggressively looking at the way tactics work, and the way the tactics tables that come preloaded work, for people that don't want to dive in on tactics, there's an improved experience there. It's "I want my party to be smarter" was the challenge that i put down to the guys working on that system. But in addition to that, and really, that's where I think things have stayed the same, when we talk about my boss, Mark is marching is, is I Do not want to lose things that were amazing about DAO, and to my mind, the tactics and that sense of party control was part of that.... But then where we made the enhancements in turn was ok, I can issue these orders, but why couldn't i see them executed near immediately, why couldn't someone leap into combat, instead of shuffling into battle akwardly, so that's where we focused most of the attention''
Apparently they are working on it;)

Very Nice .. That one aspect of Dragon age origins that was in need of upgrading..Yet i took several minutes to think about a new thread(I rarely make thread) and you come up with this .. Or maybe i should use the search engine more often .. Hmm , Interesting.
Hmm i'm out .. My head"s half shaved .. The other half need more cream.

Like Loria232 posted, the podcast presents Mike Laidlaw (I believe) specifically addressed this issue and it's one of the major things they're working on fixing in the combat.
