I cannot do this. No matter how hard I try. I've talked to her after every planetside adventure, I always choose the paragon options, WTF am I doing wrong? Does anybody know? Or can you just not do it and she only feeds fish after suicide mission??? Or do you just have to choose all three convo options everytime you talk to her? (I usually do one or two sometimes all three). Its really agitating and was wanting to do a tragic romantic storyline where he gets there too late and she dies, lololol. But cant seem to get it right, what am I doing wrong?

No for her to just have dinner in Captain's quarters. It's annoying because I talk to her all the friggen time, and nothing happens. Anybody else got any ideas?

You don't have to spam (left side of the wheel) investigative questions at her, running through them once is enough. You do have to talk to her regularly during the whole game, its her reactions to the crew members after you recruit them that matter.
Its these conversations that contain the unique and oh so disturbingly smarmy come on lines that for reasons best left to future sociologists to explain, work on Kelly. Typically the earliest you can have dinner with Kelly is after recruiting Thane and/or Samara.

After accusing her of wanting to shag anything on two, four, however many legs and comparing her body favourably to a race genetically designed to be strippers she can't resist you.

Just keep taking to her nicely and talk 2 her after each major mission (inluding loyalty).

Alright there wasn't an option to tell her she was better looking than Samara after recruiting her, and after talking about Thane there wasn't any development, will there be more after the Loyalty missions???

the main thing i remember is about pressing her on her "love" of aliens, then go all paragon

no just the once, and its usually only after you recruit Garrus(more specifically when she talks about Garrus), but there's also the option for liking dangerous Men after Thane (if your a female)That Yellow Bastard said...

KK just talked to her and she said "last time you were very open but I hope I wasn't to informal" after recruiting Samara and Thane and I had just talked to some crewmembers about their loyalty missions (so far I have not done ANY except Kasumi's) is this a good sign? I.E. am I on the right path?

You'll only have to go through new stuff. if she says something new, generally referring to a newly recruited squad member, then you ask her questions about whatever the dialogue wheel says.
No you don't need fish, eventually she'll say something like i wish we had more time to get to know each other, thats when you ask her to dinner.

Initial dialogue - Sure I'll call you Kelly and I might do more than catch you.
Next conversation - You're very charming Kelly.
After Garrus recruitment - You're attracted to aliens?
I believe when she comments on Zaeed or possibly Grunt, there's an option to say you wouldn't let him touch her. She replies that any touching to be done should involve Shep.
After Thane recruitment - Some woman like 'bad guys'.
After Samara - I didn't recruit Samara for her looks, we've already got you Kelly.
You should get the option to invite her to dinner either right then or the next time you speak to her.
Next conversation she'll ask if you want her to feed the fish.
After the SM (if she survives) ask her if she's alright. At this point, if you're not involved in a romance, you can get an email from her. You might need to either do a mission or just visit Illium/Citadel/Omega to trigger the email. After you read the email, you'll have the option to invite her up to dance and/or cuddle.
