Wild Flower....she was a interesting character.
really i can't say i disliked any of the characters......also like the drunken fist guy.
and the dude with the Axes whose name escapes me.

I can really only see Black Whirlwind as possibly being a party member in JE2, with appearances from Silk Fox and Sky if they survived. I'd like to see Wild Flower as a party member, reborn and grown to young adulthood, but given that it's possible to destroy her mind, it might not be likely.
But I think there's good storytelling potential in Wild Flower being a teammate in the sequel.

I want Zu to come back, revived by the gods for his heroic actions in saving my pc's life in the Lotus Fortress, and later as a spirit. Hey, this is a fantasy isn't it, so the devs could do anything they want. Zu was my favorite npc, so that's my wish.

Sky had his moments, but I feel out of all the characters you could really have return I feel deaths hands image would be the best. I feel like he was JE's darth vader.JadeDragonEffect wrote...

That's a tough one ... From my stricly OP perspective:
Lian should have her hands full ruling the Empire, so she's out, as much as I like her. Zu is dead and so is Death's Hand, finally. Wild Flower could make a return in 10-20 years when she's all grown up, so it depends on the time period. Most of the others are possible, and give me a hard time deciding. The only one I don't really care for is Black Whirlwind. Crude butchers are simply not funny in my book, though at least his brother's story gave him a little depth.

Pah. I vote for Kang, too. He was really quite unique and interesting -- though I never liked the bleedin' flyer minigame that you need to do in order to unlock his memories.
A re-incarnated Sun Kin/Death's Hand trying to make amends for his part in the whole mess could be interesting as well, if the game takes place 20+ years in the future.

For NPC-type roles? I'd be happy to see Kang return.
For real party companions? I'd like to see Wild Flower return as an adult. There are a lot of endings for she and her spirits, but I wouldn't mind a subtle handwave.

Kang and black whirlwind
Jade Empire was one of my favorite Bioware games, the only problem I had with it with was that unlike other games it only let you have one teammate out at a time.

I'd have to go with Wild Flower/Chai Ka. I think this is a very interesting character that I want to learn more about (: (Allthough I'd also want to see Silk Fox again XD)
