Yes, that right. I'll be playing this from September till DA 2 comes out. So that gives the boys at Bioware about 6 months from September to finalise DA 2. Then I'll probably be more interetsed. So far I must say the game engine for DA2 looks no where near as good as DA:O or DA:A. I'm hoping they've only been screenshots with bad textures & no special effects just for testing purposes, but you still have a long way to go before convincing this crowd that It'll be better than DA:O.

I can understand that. Especially since DA2 is out in March 2011. Plenty of time to get bored with Fallout.

They dont have to convince anything yet other than they're working on the sequel, its only been a few weeks since it was frelling announced.

true, this is the chance Obsidian can show that they can do better with the Fallout franchise than Bethesda

I meant that DA2 is released in March 2011 and Fallout is released in October so this thread is totally pointless and therefore useless as the games are in 2 different years.

@Quinnzel :I still consider FO1 and 2 better than Dragon Age Origins... it might as well happen that NV is better than DA2... (NOTE the *might*)

Slightly confusing thread title, you talk as if DA2 is to come out this year as well. In any case, I have to disagree with your opinion: the orignal Fallouts were pretty good, but Bethesda's venture into the series resulted in a mere 'time sponge' with the only redeeming factor being it's atmosphere. Obsidian's - or Black Isle if you will - recent track record does not bode well, either.

Sure, I'd love to be proven wrong, but I doubt I will.

You know what else I'd like to see, though? Bioware doing a "Zombie Apocalypse" style game ... I think I'd love to see their take on the genre.

In my opinion, Fallout 3 was horrible. First, it did a godawful job of meshing together the FPS-RPG elements, and second, the story was bland and the world inspired absolutely no interest.
It did have Ron Perlman as narrator, though. Not to mention Liam Neeson...

Anyway, from what 've seen so far, FONV is not going to interest me either.

Fallout can step aside, it was a pretty boring and slow game IMO, not sure why it received such high praise.

 That, and I wouldn't say the "anticipation" is because Fallout NV is coming out, but whether or not Obsidian will butcher it the way they did with Alpha Protocol. I don't think the rebuilt Obsidian is capable of making original IPs, lets just hope they can copy and paste with someone elses template.
