I might play some other games until DA2 is released too.

Nothing to do with DA2. Should be moved to Off Topic.

Obsidian as a company is "great potential, mostly wasted". NWN2 and KotOR2 were in my opinion, story-wise and character-wise, better than the BioWare's first one. But Obsidian had a lot less job to do with the sequels that basically use the same engine.
That's what gives me hope for Dragon Age 2. They'll have far less work to do with it than develop a new engine as they had to do with DA:O.
As for DA2's graphics. Well, they might as well change some meshes and textures, refine them a bit. But If you zoom at a face in DA:O or look at the faces of DA2, you'll see DA2 is better looking. Of course, environments have yet to impress me, but from 1 to 10, graphics have a "2" of importance for me.

Now of course, comparing Dragon Age to New Vegas is like comparing FO1 and 2 with Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. It's different and both were (the latter couple of games) great. I hope so for DA2 and NV.

Fallout 3 had potential but the horrible combat ruined the game for me. It looks like Fallout New Vegas is almost the exact same game except for locations so I'm gonna let it pass.

Oh, I'll be playing it - looking forward to it really.

You know what else I'd like to see, though? Bioware doing a "Zombie Apocalypse" style game ... I think I'd love to see their take on the genre.

I agree with everything you just said.

Especially the "Zombie Apocalypse" game. I'd love to see that.

I agree

of course they sadly can't deviate too much from the F3 determined options and system but they should still be able to make it beter than it is now

DA2 comes out in 2011. So of course it can't be the most anticipated game of 2010.

Do you know that on a certain difficulty, you cannot heal your injuries and you have to sleep, eat and drink?

I'd like to see DA2 with no Injury Kits. I don't ever use them In DA:O, I don't use potions either. Make it happen!

Yes, that right. I'll be playing this from September till DA 2 comes out. So that gives the boys at Bioware about 6 months from September to finalise DA 2. Then I'll probably be more interetsed. So far I must say the game engine for DA2 looks no where near as good as DA:O or DA:A. I'm hoping they've only been screenshots with bad textures & no special effects just for testing purposes, but you still have a long way to go before convincing this crowd that It'll be better than DA:O.

What are you saying??

I'll be playing some DLC of DA:O, Mafiia II and Fifa 11 till then and other gamers will entertain themselves with other games so what's youre point?

If you want to talk about anticipated games you can also come up with something better....

And it won't be in 2011 because of a small userbase compared to other games....

I like Obsidian. I'm looking forward to New Vegas. Chris Avellone and Josh Sawyer <3
This game will fill the gap until DA2 comes out.

It's too bad "Alpha Protocol" turns out to be so bad.

did you actually play it?

I played it 3 times and I enjoy it a lot, I also had never issues with it with exception of a single crash

Nah, we would have heard something about it I'd assume. It'll be 2012, and as we all know that's when skynet becomes self aware, so no ME3 for us.

Anyone can do better with Fallout franchise than Bethesda.

I wonder how much longer till this thread gets a lock.

Aren't them Bioware friends with Obisidian :(

Once not so long ago, they even let NWN2 forums in their board!
