But of course, as Robert Kotick said: "I aim to take all the fun out of video games." WHEEE!
And of course, don't forget, "I'm not interested in any franchise unless it is a multimillion dollar franchise that I can exploit every 10 months."
Enjoy.

Story... well, I'm not very impressed. Some rumors I've been hearing are confirmed and, avoiding spoilers, I think the entire gazillion $ singleplayer experience will end nowhere and just be a set up for 2025s StarCraft 3.
Single player was the only thing I was looking forward to in SC2, as I'm sadly incapable of making 100 mouse clicks per minutes to be competitive in multipayer. Also, the art style, way over the top, even for Blizzard. And maybe they still hold a grudge against Warhammer, because it's exactly what they've been... inspired by.

It's sad that people are being duped into buying the same game 3 times for $60 a pop.

First off, girl (or guy), get your facts strait before you bash. The two following games will be considered Xpacks and will be "priced accordingly"
Second off we don't know what the following games will include. If other blizzard expansions are any example, they will be WELL worth the price. Blizzard makes good expansions...
Third off it all really depends on Starcraft 2's single player doesn't it? If the single player in Wings feels sub-par/half ****ed then yeah, I'd feel slightly duped. BUT if it's a full and great story like they claim then I will gladly pay.

So what if it have expansion packs? Good, better than waiting 12 years for another sequel.

What I find funny about SC2 is that no ones been able to review it, the game doesn't become active until tomorrow (tuesday). Journalists have been sent copys but can't play them and there is no work around so far. http://en.wikipedia....iki/Starcraft_2 go down to the part that says "release".

Yea, I garentee you website like gametrailers, IGN or gamespot do rush review in order to get hits.
Gametrailers part of spike (network about popularity not substance), no doubt I think they do rush review.

Diablo 2 and Starcraft saw years of being patched, with Diablo 2's final patch dropping not that long ago. Again, with WoW, they've had bugs in-game that have existed for years.Rubbish Hero wrote...
It's not Blizzard bang games out or don't polish them.
Blizzard games do have a high quality, but they're not immune to bugs or other balancing problems.

All games get patched regardless of polish.
Games polished like hell, try playing Dragon Age or Fallout 3 on the pc for comparison.

Although, to be honest, show me a Bethesda game that's actually not an unpolished scrap pile and I'll gladly play it. Oblivion is repulsive without mods, Fallout 3 is better but still far from perfect, and Morrowind can seriously go and take a long walk off a short pier.

Game have terrible optimization. Not work right on duel CPU for months and months after release. Still not actually sure if sorted yet.

I got two CE editions...
If it's anything like WoW, eventually I'll make at least 2,000 off them!
Side-note, check out the official soundtrack on youtube. It's maybe the best soundtrack I've ever heard for any game.

It's still there...not to mention the horrible balance and other bugs.
If Dragon Age is polished then Starcraft II is gleaming white. Yes there are issues with balance and there might be some bugs ( haven't noticed anything yet, but still ) but that's something that can't be corrected without launching a game and seeing how it performs on various systems. The difference between Blizzard and Bioware is that Blizzard actually has REAL patch support, while Bioware doesn't care all that much. The fact that Starcraft 1 and Diablo II still have patch support to this day is a testament to Blizzard as a company.
Hell the fact the Battle.net server for Diablo I is still online today after 13 years says enough on it's own.

(July 2000) Diablo II is available immediately at most computer and software retail chains for approximately $60. The game is also offered directly from Blizzard at (800) 953-SNOW and www.blizzard.com. The game has received a Mature rating from the ESRB.

I'm not saying I'm getting it pirated...I'm saying that, legitimate or not, I will not play the game until I have a way to play it without the disk/internet connection/seperated from Battle.Net.
