Voice acting and dialogue seems solid - then again, it does have EDI, Liara, Saren, and Ronald Taylor in it...

If anyone is interested, I started an LP on Brutal for it: Let's Play Starcraft 2
Spoilers Alert!
Awesome, thanks for doing one... I will follow it. I like Let's Plays... finally getting around to watching Toegoff's blind LP for DAO, much more fun to watch than the "perfect" walkthroughs.

Also, you can purchase upgrades for credits in the armory (shown on the mission ending screens) as you build your team to take down the Zerg threat while collecting lost Xel'Naga artifacts -- Hey, wait a minute...

At first I was concerned at how little Starcraft 2 has changed from Starcraft. I mean RTS's have really evolved in 12 years, you just don't see the age old base building set-up much these days... at least not without some major added twist or mechanic.
But I was wronged to be concerned. It just works. It works SO well. Once your behind the wheel you'll see what I'm talking about. RTS perfection.
I haven't develed too deeply into the single player, but bioware has always been unique in the fact they could actually weeve a good RTS story. I can already tell Starcraft 2 has, without a doubt, the greatest story I've ever seen in an RTS. The areas inbetween missions adds a whole new level of cinematic and exploration that is somewhat shallow but also VERY polished and very welcome. It adds a much needed level to it all.
This is all allot coming from me as I typically am not a fan of the sci-fi universe. Infact you could almost say I dislike the genre more then like it.

Is it just me, or are movement and build speeds much slower in the SP than in MP? I have to say, the single player is amazing. Literally EVERY mission has something unique to it. And you're not just building bases and sending out units.
As for the ending, I'm satisfied. It's only the ending for Wings of Liberty. I'm sure you'll get your share of tragedy in Heart of the Swarm and probably Legacy of the Void (which has the real ending).
The events of Brood War are only relevant if you ignore everything that has happened in Wings of Liberty up until the end. Otherwise Raynor's progression is evidently clear, and the ending is appropriate.
More importantly, throw a bit of logic in there. Raynor loves Kerrigan, but resolved to kill her when she was the Queen of Blades.

Graphics are neat and updated. They also use the different terrain levels nicely (well I only really have 1 mission to judge that part from). Gameplay wise you'll be familiar from the SC, not really a bad thing as I quite like that they keep the feel, etc. the same and not try to force changes for the sake of updating it.
I quite like that Blizzard tells a nice story within the 2 previous RTS games I played and I kind of always had the "I just start the next mission, because I want to know how the story continues" syndrome which I kind of have now as well.

You can speed up the game to "Faster" in the gameplay single-player options. I didn't know it was on Normal as well, and it felt like watching a video in slow motion for me.GnusmasTHX wrote...

I hear that there are multiple different editions or something. Is this true? If yes:
Do I have to get all to have the complete story?
How do they differ?
I´m asking cos this game is starting to interest me but I don´t want to buy it multiple times to get it completely....

I think the presentation and story, etc. is what impressed me the most so far of what little I've played SC2 yet. The whole "in-between-mission" environment is nicely done and makes me much more drawn into the whole universe then it just being fillers between the missions.
RTS games usually have extremely poor story telling.
Hopefully this popularizes more emphasis on it.

Because you need to be online, amirite?.
