And the Shadow Broker still owes me a favor, damnit!

I know Shepard was dead, but man was I annoyed that the Shadow Broker was all "Score! No favor for Shepard!" and tried to sell him to the Collectors. Just for that, I feel like pointing a gun in his face and tell him "Ah yes, 'favors.'"

I did wonder what the Ashley/Kaidan fans would think. Or any fan of other squadmates. This is a DLC that focuses on just one of your squadmates, and I'm sure everyone wishes it had been their own favorite squadmate that had gotten such treatment. If this DLC tells a particularly interesting story or furthers the ME plot, I don't much mind. I dislike it when a character is forced into the story just so you can see the character. But perhaps in the future, an Ashley/Kaidan DLC would serve some purpose in bringing Shepard back to the Alliance for some mission regarding the Reapers.

People have to remember that this(ME)  is a story also.

I hope there won't be a choice between Liara and the Shadow broker in the end. I personally dont care much for Liara's character, but i give her props for her time on my crew. The shadow broker seems like a much more influential/powerful character anyway. hmm have to wait and see.

Come on, Adriano, maybe there will be no Hammerhead this time. :P

Oh, it'll be there, somehow, some way.

You defeat the Shadow Broker and curbstomp (her)his head, you laugh and begin to walk away into the sunset with Liara before a large sound comes from the Shadow Broker's corpse.

"WE ARE NOT DONE HERE" (S)he rages at you and transforms into the Hammerhead.

I still think what was done with Liara in the Redemption comic and subsequently in ME2 was a terrible direction to take her character. However I am eager to learn more about the Shadow Broker.

The Shadow Broker was also allied with the Collectors.

I agree. Think Liara fans agree as well. I think the Redemption comic is an excellent representation of how easy it is to make a bad comic as well. Plus I discovered how easy it is to miss the conversation with Liara in ME2 where she tells you how you ended up in Cerberus, thus taking away the one explanation for why she become such a vengeful obsessive crazy in ME2.

The cut dialogue just continued with that obsession. You kill the Shadow Broker, she gains access to his files, and it's still not enough. Suddenly she becomes the Shadow Broker. Lady, you saw the Prothean visions in Shepard's mind. Some things take priority here.

Oh fine, putting pictures in a post further down the page isn't good enough. I'll change that.

Anyway, the conversation is bound to take a turn toward the spoilerrific.

I agree, I wish Liara was in the game so I could have sex with her, regardless of how bland and awful her previous character was.

I think we should all get angry/upset/irate about the DLC, before having any real information about it. Think of all the things that could possibly suck about it, assume those things will be aspects of the DLC, and go to town complaining about them. Shall we let's?

How about we skip all those things and just go to town.

Every other squad member got a recruitment and loyalty mission to "tell their story." Assuming this DLC is about two hours in length, that's equivalent treatment, I'd say. The only ones with some semblance of justification for feeling slighted are fans of Ashley/Kaidan, both characters being pretty much omitted thus far.

I bet there's no other squadmate banter and it's all Liara all the time and that's so not fair to the other squadmates with whom you spent an entire full-length game. :P

Well, actually, I do hope there's some squadmate banter, but I don't need much. Just some acknowledgement that they're on the mission. But mostly I'm hoping for a solid story about the Shadow Broker. I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but I don't want to dwell on everything that can go wrong. I think they made the Illusive Man a complicated enough information broker in his own right. The Shadow Broker works on a broader scale and must know some interesting details that are closed to the Illusive Man.

Actually, be interesting if the Shadow Broker had considerable knowledge about what other aliens are doing about the Reaper threat that the Illusive Man has kept from Shepard or didn't know about. Can see the Shadow Broker using that information to bargain for his life.

At best it's awesome, at worst it's $5 wasted.

Happy the game is still supported, excited about Shadow Broker.

I think I'm going to go back and play ME1+2 where I romance Liara JUST FOR THIS DLC. I don't know why but I hadn't done it previously.

....I love ME.

My friend was playing ME1 a day before ME2 came out in the effort of creating a "perfect" playthrough, he had decided to romance Ashley.

He accidently romanced Liara.

He was not amused but I was!

Was thinking about squadmate banter. After playing Overlord, it simply didn't make sense that Jack, Legion, Miranda or Tali had nothing to say about that matter. 'Course, would have been nice to hear every squadmate's opinion, but those four I'd have picked has having something very specific to say about the project.

With the Shadow Broker, was wondering which squadmates would have the most to say about it all. It was because of the Shadow Broker that Thane lost his wife. Miranda is also an information agent who worked against the Shadow Broker. Figured Samara would definitely have something to say about it, working against such an unscrupulous individual. Who else?

Shadow Broker killed Thane's wife? Why didn't I hear any of this?! I thought Thane already killed all the men involved.

---

Doubt there will be banter simply because the cost of bringing the entire crew together for a DLC affair would be too much.
