Shadow Broker killed Thane's wife? Why didn't I hear any of this?! I thought Thane already killed all the men involved.

The Batarians who did kill Thane's wife paid the Shadow Broker to find out who Thane was. Instead of going after Thane directly, they targeted his wife.

I'm looking fordward to it.

But as I have said numerous times in the past, I hope that the Shadow Broker does not end up dead at the end (even if there's already audio evidence to the contrary). Seems like a waste to kill a potentially very important character on a DLC.

Oh snap.

As much as I always use Garrus and Tali for my missions, I'll probably bring Thane (even if he has no dialogue) simply for this.

We might just be killing somebody who we think is the Shadow Broker, unfortunately when we reach into the third game he or she will go "So yeah.. lol."

new weapons look like

-a pistol that will probably be semi automatic and have a large clip than the carnifex(could either go glock or m1911)

-a possible double barreled shotgun(just making a guess based on the muzzle in screen 1)

-what looks to be an automatic shotgun assault rifle(you can tell by the spread of the shot)

Is it just me or does the gun that Shepards holding look like a new Assault Rifle?

Seriously, this is exactly what I've been waiting for. I was ecstatic about the comic, which explained exactly what Liara had done and the lengths she'd gone to for Shepard. Now you get to finally give the Shadow Broker his just desserts for screwing with you.

Of course, there's no guarantee that this will actually resolve things with the Shadow Broker. We might find out it's not a single person, but a group. Heck, maybe it's an AI posing as a person. Or, he'll get away and return to menace us in ME3. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to this, no way am I letting this DLC pass me by.

Also, for the Ash/Kaidan fans: Honestly, don't complain. This is a major plot point being explored here. The fact that it directly involves Liara is just icing on the cake. This about giving the Shadow Broker his payback for nearly selling your corpse to the Collectors. Perhaps it's a bit callous of me to say so, but this is far, FAR more important than exploring relations with the Virmire survivor *ducks the likely flames!*

I hope its not a new shotgun, we have 4 already

Three new weapons seems like a bit much to throw in a DLC, but Bioware has shown potential new weapons and armors long before they were actually released in DLC. Do think the new pistol is going to be making a new appearance soon. Every other weapon has more than two variations at this point, and I always felt there needed to be a medium between the Carnifax and the Predator.

Damn Shadow Broker.

And I thought we were going to be friends after he orchestrated my union with Wrex in ME1.

The advertisement mentions that we're ending the Shadow Broker once and for all.

Still doesn't change the fact that one Mass Effect romance has her entire story laid out before us ready for the third game while all we've recieved is an email. :P

I think that's the only time the SB did anything good for Shepard or a crew member.

Oh crap, seriously?  *goes back to reread*  Oh man, you're right.  Sweeet.  Finally, I'd love to put a bullet into his/her/it's brain.  FINALLY.

Well, we don't know how much of her story gets laid out.  Remember, there's no guarantee she'll mention your current LI (assuming you cheated on her) or anything like that.  So her story isn't completely laid out.  I guess my question is what exactly is it that you want for Ash/Kaidan then?  I mean, I can't think of what meaningful DLC you could have that would somehow develop them.

I mean.. the only thing that kept Liara from joining your team was the Shadow Broker and her quest for vengeance. She'll probably find some excuse to not join you immediately but it's safe to say that she'll have no more distractions once Mass Effect 3 kicks out, on the other hand we've still got Kaidan and Ashley who just sent us an email saying "I don't want to lose you. :("

Hah, I hadn't noticed. It really does sound like we're gonna put a bullet in the Shadow Broker's head this time.

I'm going to feel particularly vindicated by this DLC because it means a lot of the naysayers can no longer pretend the comic (Redemption) doesn't exist or isn't a valid source of information. Since this DLC directly involves and resolves those events, the relevance of the comics can't be disputed. I am a happy gamer.

Who else thinks the ME1 decision on whether or not you give the SB the files will affect this DLC?

I'd like to think it will but I have my doubts.

Pretty much. I have a number of saves, some gave the files, some didn't. My canon Shepard, although a Paragon, did hand over the files, though.
