I understand your cheated feeling, but Liara is much more important to the plot than Ashley is, whether you romanced her or not.

So, will this DLC pretty much be required if you ever wanna conclude Liara's subplot with the Shadow Broker? I figured this story would be picked up in ME3, but if it's being done now then does that mean it'll not be really mentioned in 3?

The Shadow Broker has had somewhat of a role in the game since ME1 and Liara happens to be tied in with it. The DLC isn't going to be a happy, funtime stroll in the park with Liara, it will be based on the Shadow Broker.

It's more character plot and you might you'll be able to go deeper into her psyche, you might even be able to bring back the old Liara.

And the Shadow Broker still owes me a favor, damnit!

The old Liara's dead. She was killed by Sheperd's sudden death, the guilt of givehis/her body to Cerburus, and 2 years fighting the shadow broker and was dumped in the caves she spent most of her time in that made her bright eye and naive in the first place.

Good thing I finally got around to a Mass Effect playthrough with Liara as a LI. Woooo.

As a Kaidan fan, I'm bummed about the lack of him in Mass Effect 2 but I don't think there's enough for a DLC. I'll wait. The reunion will be all the better in the 3rd because of it (hopefully)

They've just said on twitter that the weapons aren't from the DLC but something else they can't announce.

Meaning another weapon pack.

This is a DLC that focuses on just one of your squadmates, and I'm sure everyone wishes it had been their own favorite squadmate that had gotten such treatment. If this DLC tells a particularly interesting story or furthers the ME plot, I don't much mind. I dislike it when a character is forced into the story just so you can see the character. But perhaps in the future, an Ashley/Kaidan DLC would serve some purpose in bringing Shepard back to the Alliance for some mission regarding the Reapers.

That would be cool what if they are planning that maybe they're planning an expansion for ash/kaidon and one for Wrex.  Maybe like help him with the unification Grunt and Wrex as your squadmates.

Today I think, on the ME homepage. So far theres only the announcement that it exists and some screenshots, but it says 'expansion,' so hopefully it will be longer that Overlord.
I mean don't get me wrong, overlord was great! But as usual, more is better.

Overlord was also billed as an expansion.  They use that term rather loosely.

I hope Ash/Kaiden will be in the bridging story.  Liara may be my LI, but I still want to have a word or two w/ Ashely.

No it is not, I have 23 playthroughs on ME1 and 16 on ME2, I am still working on 7 for ME1 and 14 will occur for ME2

No it is not, I have 23 playthroughs on ME1 and 16 on ME2, I am still working on 7 for ME1 and 14 will occur for ME2

the one playthrough i have for ME1 is 92 hours and i am just now bout to go to the armstrong nebula and i don't have a canon  and always play paragon cant bring my self to be ruthless lol

P.S. 92 hours and it didn't give me my level 60, ahern challenge, or the 12 pinacle stations acheivements but its cool haha

In all fairness....I look forward to this DLC just to take down the Shadow Broker.  That's it; the DLC could have been focused around the Virmire survivor (Ash, in my case) and I still wouldn't care.  Since ME 1, I've wanted to take this guy down.  So it involves Liara as well?  Big whoop for me....<_<


Still looking forward to OTHER DLC missions and non-missions (NOT weapons/armor)

all i can say is they better make killing SB challenging. I mean SB is the one of the most dangerous people/groups in the galaxy, and now. I'm expecting a let down in the vein of "That was it!...that's all it took to kill the shadow broker!...how could no one have done this before?"
