Will I get to kill the shadow broker. THis is what I want to know? OR MAYBE I GET TO BETRAY LIARA Finally. I mean shizz. I killed her mom. Now they should let me kill her! +D

Wow that's quite cruel.....I don't even know how your mind GOES THERE.

I just can't imagine any scenario where I'd want her dead.  I may have cheated on her wtih 2 of my 3 male Shepards but I don't necessarily want her to DIE.

I really want her dead. Being able to kill her would be the only way to guarantee for sure that I'd buy the DLC.

Ok woah, even I cheated on her for Tali and I would never take Liara back but still, why kill her?! She may not be that shy little researcher we all used to love but she is still an interesting character and seams more capable of surviving on your team now than before if she were to join back with Shep. I don't know where that sadistic spin of yours came from but I think you need to slow down and take a deep breath.

First, I'm not Tooneyman. Secondly, I've wanted to kill her since the first game for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to her boring/lack of personality, grating raspy voice, and her "Asari can have sex with anything, btw I'm a barely-legal virgin and even though you're with Kaidan and I've known you for all of two seconds, do you wanna get it on?" conversation.

Hell no and let me tell you why. First off. Liara is the only original NPC from you original squad who hasn't died. Its like the devs have declared her immortal. Its nice she had her part in ME 2, but she shouldn't be a giant part of the ME 3 story if you can't kill her. All the Talimancer out there like myself and many others don't have Tali as part of the main story line for ME 3 i bet you so why should Liara be any different. She should be an immortal character. She should be able to die just like any of the other characters of the original squad and the new one. Bioware has been playing favorites with Liara for to long. TIme to kill the Blue shrew!Image IPB

The ME1 LIs are not recruitable in ME2 because the devs wanted to make sure that these characters survive the ME2 story/suicide mission (if we believe C. Hudson^_^). It is rather unlikely that they kill them in an expansion pack/DLC.

I have to say, I would probably kill Liara too if given the option. She changed man. She changed.

Who else thinks the ME1 decision on whether or not you give the SB the files will affect this DLC?

I don't think that was one of the flags that carried over.  The only flag about those files is whether or not you acquired them... not if you gave them to the Shadow Broker.

Ashley/kaiden can both die on virmir depending on which one you choose so to make a long story short. They can die before ME 2. Liara is the only one who can't so lets killer!Image IPB

Since I was one of those saying the DLC will be announced when the comic was finished, I feel a little vindicated.

More Predictions (in order of most likely to less likely): Liara can't die in DLC. Liara can take over as Shadow Broker, depending on what say you to her and it'll change ME3 love interest options. She'll use SB network in ME3 to help you track down Sovereign's journeys before you encountered it in ME1, leading to insight into how to stop the Reapers.

Oh, and she might be a possible squad-mate in ME3, but you'll have to give up someone in squad (most likely Miranda). Wrex and Aria will also be recruitable, but you'll also need to give up someone (Grunt and Samara/Morinth).

And yah, that means you'll need the ME2 character to survive in order to have the option in ME3 to swap.

But one of them survives...always

Because we wanted to make sure the love interest can remain an important and integral part of the story, we want that to continue into the third game. We have some really important things we want to resolve there. That means we can't have these characters that were your love interests in this suicide mission potentially getting killed and then blocking off that opportunity. They're part of the story. They're part of the ongoing love story but they're not your squad members so that we can be sure that we can bring that love story to its conclusion."

If she is killable (:crying:), it's in ME3.

I don't agree that she should be kill-able in this DLC. Why? Because for the statement above that's already been said. Yes, I agree with Neria's point with the last line about "getting it on", but that doesn't make me want to kill her.

Did I find her boring in ME 1? EXTREMELY.

But....when I ran into her again in ME 2, I found her to be MORE interesting this time around.

To Mallisin's point, if you're forced to give people up to get back Liara, Ash/Kaiden and Wrex (I don't see Aria joining, sorry), then....sorry Wrex! I happen to like Grunt; as for giving up two others to get Liara and Ash/Kaiden.....no thanks. I like the crew I got in ME 2 a lot better.

EDIT: Oh....and if she IS kill-able in ME 3.....good.  It's only fair that ANY squadmate is at risk.  I would assume you can take steps, much like in ME 2 to keep this from happening (which would make sense).

I get the impression that at the end the shadow broker will offer information on the reapers that is extremely important, in exchange for his/her/its/there life/lives. Choosing between liaras vendetta, or possible priceless info would make a good choice. I hope in that scenario you will have the option to get the info, but kill him anyway.
