Never noticed that before. Maybe TSB is on Illium? That could explain the Asari?

While these building do look similar, you cannot really get a good look at them. Probably you and Liara get ambushed on Illium by the SB's goons, you fight than you take the fight to the SB!

Could be. IDK. Those mercs/troops look pretty hardcore though. I like the red eye glow. Although looking at it again, the whole atmosphere of the environment doesn't look Illium-ish. But then again, the outdoor area seems to be covered by smoke. Maybe it's the lower levels of Illium, which could be a bit darker than the upper levels.

Alright, you guys are getting so annoyed that those weapons won't be included in the DLC? Geez, be happy were actually getting the DLC. The long awaited Liara - Shadow Broker DLC. Yeah, it's a shame we wont get this weapons, but can you guys just be happy with what were getting?

I'd rather pay 10 $ for a DLC that "rewards" me with gear, than 6 $ for a story and 4 $ for getting the same gear automagically appear in my vault. I mean, even Firewalker made me happier than Overlord,* never mind Kasumi and the thing from there...

*ok, so maybe that's a slight exaggeration.

I played Firewalker once, and I don't even think I did all of the missions. That was a waste of HDD space for me. Which reminds me, I need to delete it. You can't honestly say that was better than Overlord or Kasumi.

How do you guys know the weapons won't be in the dlc? How do we know Christina Norman didn't just mean it's literally from THE 'shadow broker' himself/herself. Whats the point of  advertising the items in those screenshots if we can't have them?

There was new armor shown off in a promo shot for the Arc Projector, and we didn't get that (the armor) until like 3 weeks ago, or whenever.

It's not uncommon.

The same reason the Kestrel armor didn't come with the Arc projector. They have DLC slated for specific dates. Don't read too much into it. The weapons aren't going to be a part of the Liara DLC. Now will there be a second DLC released along with it like what happened with Kasumi and the alt. pack? We don't know. But it's possible.

wow i didn't even realize that about the kestrel till you pointed it out just now. I won't be buying anymore ME2 dlc, I absolutely HATE getting nickel and dimed for content.

....unless they bring out a power damage armor for biotics, I'll buy that.:D

Personally, I think it's nice that Bioware is bringing back an old favorite (at least for some). I doubt that she'll be a permanent squadmate just like what everyone else mentioned. But still, having someone back from the old team is good.

Most likely she won't join up so that Bioware has an excuse for her and the other people from ME1 to (hopefully) make an appearance in ME3 for the finale with the Reapers.

I think it's not Illium. Most likely it could be Omega (where all criminals PRESUMABLY live) or a new planet all together.

Looks like its only going to involve crew from ME1. Maybe a return of Ashley/Kaiden?

Wait till the GOTY version comes out, it might have all the dlc available on a disk to load.

I suggest buying a larger hardrive though, you get any more games (ME3 hint hint) and you will run out of memory.

Yeah, but the Microsoft hard drives are so overpriced. :( Plus I'm too lazy to sit there and transfer everything over. I heard there are transfer kits, but I;d rather not spend the extra money to get one. I'll just borrow my father's 360 for a day, put my new HD in my 360, put my old one on his, and move everything over with my memory card if I have to.

Stupid tiny HD. T_T I don't know how I'm going to fit ME3 content on there.

Hell, I'd even install ME2 onto the HD. Less loading time, and no disc swapping if I've heard right.

You really should get a larger HDD. 20GB hard drives just don't cut it these days. I upgraded to a 120GB last week, and what a relief! I was at 438 MB with my older 20GB hard drive. It just doesn't work anymore, especially with games like ME2. With all this DLC that keeps coming, you have two options: either devote your entire 20GB space to ME2 and its stuff, or simply upgrade to a larger hard drive. I'm sure you're smart enough to figure out which option to go with. ;)

Also, with a few demos/ videos, a lot of DLC and multiple games installed, I am currently at 89.8 GB with my 120GB HDD. Ain't that great?

I expect them not to nickle and dime me to death. Hell, why don't they break up Lair of the Shadow Broker into two seperate downloads you have to pay for? Damned "microtransaction" BS.

Unlikely.

Liara will probably be an NPC that just shoots stuff (think Kal'reegar) instead of a full blown companion.
They probably picked Tali / Garrus for the picture because it would fit more the scene.

From a business perspective, if you have material that in comparison to every other game out there, constitutes as a game and a half , why oh why would you sell it for the price of 1 game?  Do you have any idea how much voice acting costs? Or the total production cost of ME2 in general?

really? whats the average costs for voice acting? its a shame im in th uk id do it for free just be in ME3Image IPB

I said this on the other topic. I am definitely looking forward to this DLC, but I think the Shadow Broker is too important a character to deal with in a regular-sized DLC. Here's hoping it's bigger even than Overlord.

But you guys are insane if you think this won't include voice acting from Liara's actress.

Also, I'm wondering about what affect Liara's regular sidequest will have on this DLC. It'd be strange if there was no affect at all.

Looks interesting. Can't wait for it to come out.

I wasn't expecting to tie up the Shadow Broker plot line before ME3. I also see Liara in those pics, will she be joining Shepard for this mission and if so where does that leave her status as a possible squadmate for ME3 since the whole entire reason she can't join Shepard's crew in ME2 is because of the Shadow Broker.

I wasn't saying that, maybe you should reread.

Or I could just make it even clearer: Overlord was lacking in the "reward" department, the only thing that WAS better with Firewalker.

Kasumi is probably the best "integrated" DLC bio has released, or at least very close to Bring Down the Sky. Leliana's Song the best "independent" one.

As a tangent, I really dislike the Hammerhead. The Mako was way better, certainly in all the "main" missions you had to use it. It just got a bad rep based on the ridiculously hilly side mission planets, but replacing it with the arcadey Hammerhead was just... not a good idea.

So I guess they're going to also charge us for those weapons in an upcoming DLC. I may be wrong, but I don't think it costs that much to program new weapons in the game. Weapon packs should be free.

-Totally agree on the nickel and diming thing. Like I said in my post: “Showing them in the screenshots and then saying that they wont be included in the download is lame. BioWare still apparently hasn’t learned anything about quality downloads. This sounds more like typical EA marketing to milk more money out of the consumer when they know they have a hit game.”

For something that has been rather hyped by thte fans and also not a very good kept secret for a future download, it bugs me that this Liara Shadow Broker thing is getting a weak little download treatment that will likely take less than 2 hours to play and not a full sized expansion.

I doubt we are going to beat Shadow Broker in this one, maybe make some dent in his organization and kill Tazzik.

Hmm, wonder if we get another 6th upgrade in this DLC. Medi-Gel or Damage Protection ... or maybe some weapon?

They have to make money somehow.

Maybe those are exclusive to the yet to be announced PS3 version, which also contains all the DLCs.
