Lair of the Shadow Broker- Liara DLC Announced

However, that's not to say she won't be coming onto the Normandy after you beat the mission! Think about it: it's impossible for the Normandy to be destroyed in the final mission, even if Shepard dies. As long as she's onboard the Normandy, she's technically safe. She can also be inserted into the "clown shuttle" cutscene in case you get her before the suicide mission to keep her safe.
I could definitely see her as an integral part of their future DLC strategy. In future DLC missions, she could comment on your actions or the mission before or after. It'd be a great way to give the fans what they want in terms of voice acting, while not having to hire 14 people for VO work for every DLC patch. They couldn't necessarily do the same with Kelly or any other Normandy member except Joker or the computer, I already mentioned Seth Green. Liara is, frankly, their path toward providing that extra sense of closure. And she can probably cuddle or something if you remained loyal to her. Hmm... I wonder if you had remained single through both games, if you could start a relationship with her in the endgame of ME2... that'd be weird.
Anyway, I'd say all that would be a significant reward and it'd be manageable for Bioware. And who's to say you don't get to play as Liara herself in the DLC instead of Shepard, like in Leliana's Song?

(SPOILERS in this link)
it's some dialogue that takes place before and after the mission.
with this it seems much more likely that she'll just be some npc in ME3 if anything. she won't be on the normandy after the DLC either. romance content seems also very unlikely with this.
also, they call the shadow broker a "his" so it can't be that sha'ira or whatever her name was from the citadel.

Just saw the video, and reminded me why I don't like Liara anymore (I cheated on her with Miranda), shes all coco for cocopuffs now. Imagine in ME3, shell be over the deep end by then.

While that's probably how the mission will end, I would hardly call that all the voice work.

that's not the point. since the voice work for what happens after the mission is already done, i think it's more than reasonable to assume that the voice work was already done while they were recording for the rest of the game. this means that it is more likely that there is squad commentary on the mission. ie the characters that were involved in the story that the DLC is an extension of & old squad members like tali & garrus.

That's simply speculation based on content that was cut from the game. Personally I think it's very unlikely that those audio leftovers will be used for the DLC.

there is no reason to assume that it is very unlikely, it is actually very likely that they already included the content preceding the mission & after the mission. IE the content that does not take place in the locations that are included in the DLC.

How do you know? Do you develop ME3?
It's still possible that something happens between ME 2 & ME 3 which forces Liara to join Spehard's Team again.

You really think that since she is the only unkillable character in the whole mass effect games they wont have her as a squaddie in ME3 im almost certain she will. Also Do u like being so damn negatives0meguy6665 wrote...

Hi everyone,
As Christina tweeted, some of the new guns you are seeing in those screens are not in the Lair of the Shadow Broker pack. They are in fact part of a different pack that will be released prior to Lair of the Shadowbroker - more details coming very soon. While this was simply intended to tease them I can see how it could be misleading, so I must apologize for that.
Lair of the Shadow Broker does, however, contain some *really* cool stuff we haven't revealed yet so stay tuned for more details as we head into August. And actually the very coolest part of the DLC (imho) will be something we absolutely won't reveal in the marketing or PR, to avoid spoiling it. I think most of you will find it to be our most satisfying DLC release yet for ME2.
Best Regards,
Jarrett
Sweet cant wait.

Where would she stay on the Normandy (assuming Shepard's cabin isn't an option:innocent:)?

I think this makes it more likely she'll be in ME3. They tied up all the loose ends that were keeping her from helping Shepard in this game as well as giving her an excuse not to be able to join your crew for the duration of the game, and not make her eligible for the suicide mission.
So she remains the only person in either game who under no circumstances can die. Bioware has gone through too much trouble IMHO in keeping that intact for her not to be in the third game.
