just listen to her reason for not joining shepard & you will know why it is unlikely that she'll join your squad.

Any game for the PC will have extra audio files embeeded in the folders. It is just simply easier to leave them there than it is to rewrite the code without them. That would require far more time and effort. Sith Lords had a ton of unused audio files in it, as well as DA. Just do a search and you'll see. It is unlikely that those audio files reflect the content of the DLC since the DLC will have its own audio files embeeded in the code.

You have absolutely no idea what your talking about. The packages for Liara's audio, or any audio, contains multiple sound files. They can simply delete the sounds they don't want. It's as simple as that. Theres no need to "rewrite" code or anything in order to do so. Just right click > delete. I'm using the same engine they're using, and I've dealt with sounds before.

@Polite what does Unreal engine have to do with anything? Sometimes it's a hassle for to go through and delete left over sound files, it's just easier to keep them. It may also be that they weren't sure if they were going to use them and therefore kept them to be safe.

Thing is, I wouldn't be surprised if they used a completely new script for this dlc. Since the current one(s) is missing a lot of dialogue.

I would say late August.  They have a track record of announcing DLC and releasing them two to four weeks later.

(Not counting the weapon or armor packs they spring right out of the blue).

To my eye the weapon Garrus is holding in that screenshot appears to be the Incisor sniper rifle, but I could be wrong, Between the apparently blue housing, the scope and the small triangular extrusion at the base of the barrel it just seems about right.

so this weapon pack... we can safely assume that the new AR and shotgun will be apart of it, M5 is a most likely... i'm hoping that there will be something in every category. i know sniper is probably a no since the incisor just been made public. but a guy can hope right?

Unreal Engine 3 is the engine they're using. It's the engine I'm using. Everything is brought together through UED. That's how you package the sounds, materials, textures, animations, static meshes, particle effects, etc... and save each package. The Kasumi sound files weren't complete either. Although they were replaced, it was generic audio. These may be the same case, but given the plot spoilers in the audio, It's highly improbable. In regards to UE3, if they didn't want the dialogue sound files, all they had to do was delete it in UED and re-save the package. Simple as that. Or if they wanted to leave it there, just keep it in there and add new sound files with the DLC assets.

Also the people Shepard and his team are fighting, they don't look to be from any known mercenary groups. So it looks to be the Shadow Broker's personal guards.

i sure as hell hope i'm wrong but there's no evidence that they'll deviate from the content already put into the game - the storyline was probably already written with the rest of the storyline - hence the hidden dialogue.

Hi everyone,

As Christina tweeted, some of the new guns you are seeing in those screens are not in the Lair of the Shadow Broker pack. They are in fact part of a different pack that will be released prior to Lair of the Shadowbroker - more details coming very soon. While this was simply intended to tease them I can see how it could be misleading, so I must apologize for that.

Lair of the Shadow Broker does, however, contain some *really* cool stuff we haven't revealed yet so stay tuned for more details as we head into August. And actually the very coolest part of the DLC (imho) will be something we absolutely won't reveal in the marketing or PR, to avoid spoiling it. I think most of you will find it to be our most satisfying DLC release yet for ME2.

Best Regards,

Jarrett

I'm particularly interested in that new Assault Rifle. I wonder how it'll function.

As for these new 'cool stuff'... what are we talking? Extra kit/skills for Shep? New gameplay concepts? New Normandy functions?

Looking forward to it, Skipper.

I hope you're wrong too. "Hello, Shadow Broker." Is such a cheesy line. I mean, really? That's what she says? It just comes across poorly.

It's an asari.  You can see the head fringe in the photo by Tali's left knee.

What else do you want her to say? "Hello >insert race here<"?

Agreed. I prefer that to some popmpous Shakespearen speech. I'm not really sure what she's supposed to say other than that.
