@Polite what does Unreal engine have to do with anything? Sometimes it's a hassle for to go through and delete left over sound files, it's just easier to keep them. It may also be that they weren't sure if they were going to use them and therefore kept them to be safe.

Thing is, I wouldn't be surprised if they used a completely new script for this dlc. Since the current one(s) is missing a lot of dialogue.

i sure as hell hope i'm wrong but there's no evidence that they'll deviate from the content already put into the game - the storyline was probably already written with the rest of the storyline - hence the hidden dialogue.

I hope you're wrong too. "Hello, Shadow Broker." Is such a cheesy line. I mean, really? That's what she says? It just comes across poorly.

What else do you want her to say? "Hello >insert race here<"?

Agreed. I prefer that to some popmpous Shakespearen speech. I'm not really sure what she's supposed to say other than that.

Hi everyone,

As Christina tweeted, some of the new guns you are seeing in those screens are not in the Lair of the Shadow Broker pack. They are in fact part of a different pack that will be released prior to Lair of the Shadowbroker - more details coming very soon. While this was simply intended to tease them I can see how it could be misleading, so I must apologize for that.

Lair of the Shadow Broker does, however, contain some *really* cool stuff we haven't revealed yet so stay tuned for more details as we head into August. And actually the very coolest part of the DLC (imho) will be something we absolutely won't reveal in the marketing or PR, to avoid spoiling it. I think most of you will find it to be our most satisfying DLC release yet for ME2.

Best Regards,

Jarrett

Cue hundreds of sad faces from those who love the Virmire survivor IF there isn't anything about them in this...
Just wanted you to know you will be breaking our sensitive little hearts and crushing our spirit, not to mention killing our faith if you build us up and..................nothing! :crying:
No pressure, just saying....

there is not a word of VS in this message

i really hope to see their own DLC one day, but there's really no reason to blame Bioware for not giving us what they promised. Because they didn't promise anything like that

Would be nice if the "big" surprise was that near the end of the DLC when you are being overwhelmed wrex and the virmire survivor come out of nowhere to help.

That's quite an idea Image IPB But what of those who don't have wrex alive? I don't think it would be that. Probably something for the liara fans though. Thats just my opinion.

that's really too optimistic. i want every ME1 squaddie to have proper DLC, not to me pushed into someone else's story

i bet it will something concerning Liara romance

Maybe it's something related to the reapers & collectors, because he made a deal with them or something. some part of the story leading up to ME3...

Could be a huge link to the next DLC bridging the gap.

I didn't blame them, I said they would crush our spirit and kill our faith................ Whilst, I might add making a point of not putting pressure on, in the nicest way possible ;)

It's smart that they are getting this whole Shadow Broker storyline out of the way now. Assuming the third game is the grand finale and the "gathering of the galaxy's forces to fight the ancient evil", any attention placed on the Shadow Broker would seem minor by comparison if done at that time. Considering this storyline had it's own comic and was responsible for removing an obvious fan favourite from most of ME2, it deserves a bit more attention.

Kudos to Bioware.

I'd figure the Shadow Broker to be VERY helpful in ME3 if they handled the storyline right.

Yup.

It would have been done sooner - but some stuff came up that stopped me from pulling an all-nighter :D
