If Liara gives me some BS reason for not helping against the Reapers, she's getting Al-Jilani'd.

This is exactly the kinda DLC I want to play. Missions and storyline that moves the Mass Effect story ahead from ME2. I could happily consume chunks of ME2.5 right on up to ME3. God but no more weapons and armor, enough of that. We already got enough toys and sunglasses. I would like to see the Biotics un-nerfed though. I mean how exactly are you gonna explain Liara not having all the Biotic abilities she had in ME1? For that matter how to explain why Liara has more Biotic ability than Samara or Jack?

Well, biotics are getting an upgrade at some point, this is confirmed.

EDIT- LOL, I said nerfed. Meant the opposite.

It would be cool to take off Kasumi s hood to see if she has hair.

Who here bets we won't actuelly come into contact with the shadow broker in this pack...? :P
The mission is probably just a run and gun until you anti climactically discover the Shadow Broker has escaped just in the nick of time...Or we WILL kill him...but his face will just conveniantly be hidden from view...<_<
Personally, I doubt they'll reveal his/her/its identity until Mass Effect 3...Seems like a pretty big thing to reveal in DLC.
On the other hand if we do discover his identity...Please say its an entirely new charecter, making him/her someone we know would just be so cliche...

Anyway, Its more Liara which is nice...Shame she probably won't be a recruitible teammate...:o
Though, I think its pretty obvious what the end DLC choice will be..."Destroy the information...or send it to Cerberus". ^_^

I'm going to reserve judgement on the Shadow Broker's revelation until I see it, although I wouldn't have a problem with him being a faceless/ordinary person, a sort of poetic irony. It would make him seem more human and mortal after all of this chasing shadows business. Anyway, they've said that there will be one part of the DLC that they won't discuss at all, and players who buy the pack will receive a surprise. (Now, pleasant or otherwise, remains to be seen. Please some romantic content, Bioware!)

I'm still praying the Shadow Broker can make it out of this DLC alive for ME3.

yeah i actaully though about having 3 team mates instead of 2 on the battlefield but i think the levels would be easier...i think we might be able to have 3 team mates on the bettlefield if the lair of the shadow broker comes out because i seen the pictures and liara is there with garrus and tali and shepard

Nice! So can we expect a late August release?

Oh I just mean in August we'll be revealing more stuff. :)

So... we won't see anything in August

Its probably just a cutscene.

If they added a third squadmate to the bunch, they'd have to completely revamp controls because it wouldn't work the way we have it now.

The only way this could work WITHOUT overhauling controls would be if Liara wasn't controlled by us and was just an NPC on the side following us wherever we go.

Escort, of sorts.

I hope this DLC is vastly different from anything in ME2.

Firewalker was only lame because of the Featherhead.

Kasumi was cool because we had a James Bond vibe.

Overlord was totally ripped from a FEAR game. Which is awesome.

So lets get something different out of Lair of the Shadow Broker.

I just hope that if we do see the shadow broker's face it isn't another generic NPC like Dr. Archer in Overlord.

Seriously. Archer looked too much like Mordin's assistant.

And Aresh. And Jacob's Father. Some additional hairstyles and outfits would really help mix thiings up in this game.

Yeah, it's probably a Quarian. Therefore you can't see them. I remember Pitne For (or another Volus) saying the Shadow Broker is likely to be an Organization, not 1 person.

... It's Udina isn't it? :P

[This is what happens when you bring Garrus and gave the Cerberus data to Commander Shepard]

Garrus: Hey Shadow Broker! How you boys doin'?

Garrus: Hey, keep chillin'. You know who we are? We're associates of your business partner Commander Shepard. You do remember your business partner don't you? Let me take a wild guess here. You're the real Shadow Broker, right?

Shadow Broker: Yeah.

Garrus: I thought so. You remember your business partner Commander Shepard, don't you, Shadow-B?

SB: Yeah, yeah, I remember him.

Garrus: Good. Looks like me an Liara caught you boys at breakfast. Sorry about that. Whatcha havin'?

SB: Hanarburgers.

Garrus: Hanarburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast. What kind of hanarburgers?

SB: De-dextroburgers.

Garrus: No, no no, where'd you get 'em? Omega's? Bhatia's? Drellin' Diner? Where?

SB: Big Citadel Burger.

Garrus: Big Citadel Burger! That's that Elcor burger joint. I hear they got some tasty burgers. I ain't never had one myself. How are they?

SB: They're good.

Garrus: Mind if I try one of yours? This is yours here, right?

[Picks up burger and takes a bite]

Garrus: Mmm-mmmm. That is a tasty burger. Liara, ever have a Big Citadel Burger?

[Liara shakes her head]

Garrus: Wanna bite? They're real tasty.

Liara: Different amino acids.

Garrus: Well, if you're not afraid of dying give 'em a try sometime. I can't usually get 'em myself because my crew has different amino acides which pretty much leaves me starving. But I do love the taste of a good hanarburger. Mm-mm-mm. You know what they call a Hanarburger with drell cheese on Palaven?

SB: No.

Garrus: Tell 'em, Liara.

Liara: A Hierarch with cheese.

Garrus: A Hierarch with cheese! You know why they call it that?

SB: Because of the FTL travel system?

Liara: Check out the big brain on the Shadow Broker! You're a smart mother****er. That's right. The FTL system. What's in this?

SB: That's no-.

Garrus: You mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down?

SB: That doesn't bel-

Garrus: Ah, hit the spot.

SB: That belonged to my human partner here..

Garrus: ****.

*Garrus dies, Liara is gunned down*

Dave, that was an EPIC reference with a nice twist at the end.

Good on you. GREAT on you. I'm sure half the people here won't even know where that's from.

No, I think adding 3 squad mates at once might be a big thing to work into the game. It'd be huge DLC to manage something like that. It'd be cool, but I doubt it's feasible without reworking the whole game. Maybe it could show up in Mass Effect 3, but I doubt it'd come through in DLC. As has been said, making it 3 squad mates plus Shepard would break the current controls; the whole control scheme would have to be altered.
