You're joking right? If not, let me say that Infiltrator is famously the easiest class by far. The hardest classes to play as on Insanity are the ones who depend on tech or biotic skills, since you need to get rid of the enemies protection before you can do anything, and you're not particularly good without your skills, so that's easier said than done. The Soldier is better because you're not depending on skills that you can't even use, it's just raw damage. However, the Infiltrator is easy as hell because (a) you can go invisible and retreat/get past people/get into a good position and (time slows down when you use the scope until the point where you're basically doing insane headshot damage without any chance of the enemy retaliating. Infiltrator is easy mode, whatever the setting. It's what everyone I've asked about doing Insanity has said, as well.
The only easy classes on Insanity are Soldiers, Sentinels, and Adepts. Vanguards, Infiltrators and Engineers are the hardest classes. I'm speaking from experience. Infiltrator isn't easy at all. When you go camo, you do not regenerate health. And just because you go camo, doesn't mean you won't still get shot. Camo is useless on insanity. Adepts have warp, shockwave, and singularity. Those three will easily get rid of the protection along with gunfire. But lets not drag this thread off topic.

Happy to hear about the new shotgun. hope it's distingushiable from the rest i'm a soldier and havey only really used shot gun like twice in the game just seems useless.
Only because there ain't no poetry in your soul.
This.
I play a Vanguard with the Vindicator, Locust, Eviscerator, Carnifex, and Blackstorm/Collector Beam/Cain.
Vindicator=Long range precision. Its my sniper rifle of sorts. My default weapon I use all the time.
Locust=Used when enemies are in tight groups and I want to wreak havoc.
Eviscerator=When an enemy strays too far from his/her buddies or there's only a couple baddies around, I charge in and eviscerate their faces.
Carnifex=Only ever used to get headshots on YMIR Mechs. That's it.
Blackstorm=When there's a large group and I just feel like it.
Collector Beam=On harder difficulties for bosses.
Cain=To two shot the final boss. That's it.
wait, how do you have the vindicator as a vanguard? i thought it was soldier only?
i play as a soldier so im pretty mad if other classes get the assault rifle

Any class can get the assault rifle. On the Collector Ship, it gives you the choice of Assault Rifle Training, Shotgun Training, or Sniper Rifle training if you don't already have those weapons for use.

until collector ship the piddly smg's are rubbish...
on the topic of adepting through insanity, personally i think its hard as every enemy has good defenses, even basic infantry have decent shields that takes a rank 3 overload to kill in 1. therefore biotics are usless for the most part 0_o... infiltrator is very easy i think, it gets cloak and incinerate which is an amazing defense buster, better than warp for defence busting alone thats for sure.
my best strategy so far is to take zaeed with squad disruptor ammo to break them shields open, and miranda/kasumi/garrus with rank 3 overload, only then does it become easier.
soldier class with 50% storm speed, 40% health bonus and adrenaline rush destroys insanity.. pull out shotgun, sprint in slow motion, hit AR and pop every ass out there in 5 seconds... job done lol.
anyways back on topic.. tuesday isnt 2 far now i hope its then... im wanting to get back into ME2 but more guns are needed.

Not really. If they didn't get choices, Adepts, Engineers, and Sentinels would be stuck with a whole 2 weapons.
Vanguards and Infiltrators with 3.
Plus, Soldiers get the Revenant, which no one else can touch.

Weapon DLC this coming Tuesday PLOX.
Whaaat how do you know this?! but.. i do hope you are right! Ive been wanting this weapons pack for a long time now, my 1337 adept on insanity needs a new mighty pistol to work with.
btw.. adept is IMHO the worst class by far for insanity - therefore the most challenging/rewarding
Whoa, by PLOX i meant PLEASE. I'm asking for it. I have no idea when its coming out.

Dude, I have no idea where you're getting the idea that Infiltrators are hard to play on Insanity. That's the easiest class BY FAR.
Vanguards are hard. Adepts are hard. Sentinels are hard. Engineers are hard. Soldiers got it easier, and Infi's got it WAY easier. Its insane.
Hell, I played a Vanguard on Insanity and I wanted to kill myself. Charge might as well be the Suicide Button.
The only time I found Charge useful was on the Derelict Reaper ship at the very end with the Core, where I could basically play Ping Pong, bouncing off Husks, running around, then Charging another one, then running, etc etc.

In any case, I have a feeling that Prince might be right, especially when looking at the previous DLC release dates.

Tuesdays are when video games and DLC's come out.
The reason they release on Tuesdays is because it leaves the most amount of time for reviews and sales figures to build up.

I've always noticed a trend with DLC: It tends to come out on a Tuesday. I might be completely wrong, but I'll be taking a peek on the Cerberus Network Tuesday for this weapon pack. Then we can start talking about the imminency of the Shadow Broker's DLC.
Laaaate. Shoulda read the earlier posts. lol
