Tuesdays are when video games and DLC's come out.

The reason they release on Tuesdays is because it leaves the most amount of time for reviews and sales figures to build up.

the sub machine gun... its a decent weapon but 2 things annoy me



it has a cool handle on the front yet shepard still holds it like a pistol?!

and also it has a terrible weapon sound... they could have atleast made it sound more meaty than a tinny sounding pop gun D:



mainly for the sound reason alone i use the tempest SMG.

^ I thought I was the only one who did this. However, for some characters, the range of the Locust is invaluable and I have to use it.

It's got nothing to do with reviews and sales figures. DLC comes out on tuesday because that's the day Microsoft update all content on Xbox Live Marketplace, and Bioware wants the PC content to release at the same time as the Xbox content.

PSN used to update on thursdays regularly, but moved their updates to tuesday to compete with MS. Stops xbox fans getting games 2 days earlier than the PS gamers.

a weapons pack like this will probably sell like hotcakes, why would they miss out on the easy profit?

Before the LoTSB DLC, that's all we know.

It will release on a Tuesday though, so hope for tomorrow.

Incorrect. Video games aren't the only product to release on Tuesdays. So do books, DVD's, etc etc.

The reason being that rental charts and such are released on Mondays, and Tuesday is the slowest day of the work week. 

Releasing them on Tuesdays increases customer traffic.

If more copies need to be ordered before the weekend, it can be done easily.

The most important part is that sales figures are released on Mondays. To get the biggest numbers, it only makes sense to start selling on a Tuesday.

I prefer to play as a soldier and I'd say that the big bonus you get is the fact that you're more effective with your weapons than any other class.  Adrenaline Rush is the single most powerful ability in the game since it gives you a slowdown effect that improves your accurracy with any weapon and a +100% weapon damage bonus (+140% with heightened adrenaline rush).

So lets say you have a Vanguard and a Soldier both trying to bring down a Merc Trooper with the ammo sucking Vindicator assault rifle on Insanity level difficulty.  The Vanguard pops up from cover, starts firing and takes 4 to 5 shots (depending on how many headshots he can land) to take the trooper down while the Soldier pops up from cover fire up his Adrenaline Rush (with the +100% to +140% weapon damage bonus) and puts the trooper down in half the time with two quick and easy headshots.

The Revenant doesn't benefit as much from Adrenaline Rush as the Vindicator since it has a deep ammo well and doesn't have the accurracy to dependably land headshots at range; but only the Soldier can get their hands on the Revenant anyway.

As it stands right now assault rifles are a pretty poor choice for a bonus weapon since the Locust SMG is frankly a better weapon than any Assault Rifle except the Revenant and Vindicator one of which only Soldiers can unlock and one of which only a Soldier can use up to its full potential.  The new DLC assault rifle we've seen in the screenshots might actually be a decent assault rifle for other classes though if it has decent accuracy alot of ammo and can lay down heavier damage than a Locust SMG.

If a Vanguard were going up a against one merc trooper, or even a few, I doubt they'd whip out the Vindicator to pop headshots.

Charging and annihilating with the Eviscerator would be the sound strategy, and would probably get quicker kills.

But thats a difference in strategy, not effectiveness.

I was just thinking, back when Overlord came out Bioware released two new Wallpapers one with Kasumi holding the new DLC pistol and this one with a Geth holding some unknown Geth weapon. So since Kasumi was holding the new pistol in the first wallpaper, could it be that the unknown Geth gun in this wallpaper is the new Geth style shotgun?

Both the Kasumi pistol and the Geth shotgun, as well as a new assault rifle, are present in the released Shadowbroker screenshots.

Though they wont actually be in the DLC pack. BioWare have stated that some of the new weapons will be released in a seperate pack prior to the Shadowbroker DLC release.

It will likely be Canadian time. It's 11.51 GMT at the moment. So where bioware is it's like 5.50 am approximate.... So we just need to wait and hope lol.
