It's not coming out on the 24th.
All releases this size are promoted in advance, with a release date announced at least 2 weeks prior.
The fact that we haven't even had any info means it won't come out till mid to late september at least.
Also, if it was coming out next week, it would be on the upcoming releases list here:
majornelson.com/
For all the small weapon and armour packs Bioware haven't pre-announced, Major Nelson has always had it in the "coming soon" section at least a week before release.
Basically, if it was coming out on Aug 24th, it'd be official, not a rumour.
I have to know. Does he have a pretty blonde Genie that tells him these things?
Anyway, I think I will go play something else for a while.

Actually your wrong. Overlord wasn't given a release date until 2 days before. Also, Major Nelson doesn't list Bioware items for whatever reason. At least since Overlord's release date was on there before Bioware announced it. (Overlord or some other, anyways) The firepower pack wasn't on Major Nelsons update, yet it was released the tuesday of the week he wrote the updates for. Bioware/EA can request that he doesn't disclose the information, so you can't go by that website.

If i remember correctly, it was Major Nelson who revealed the release date for overlord on the very blog i linked to.
And to all the people claiming Overlord didn't have a release date, sure, but there was heaps on info and interviews and previews way before it came out. You can definately expect the same, Jarett Lee pretty much said so.
Pretty much everything they spring on us without promotion or prior warning is little weapon packs.

Oh, also, spoilers below. My bad, but the question needs to be answered >_>
This is post-game DLC as I recall. I was wondering if finishing this pack would alter the endgame save used for transferring? And if yes, does that mean that, if I chose to do Zaeed's trust mission post-game (and kill him off that way), would his death still be reflected in Mass Effect 3?

That was a joke. Anyway, too bad. Jeanie could just blink us the DLC if it was.

A: Bioware spring dlc on us all the time without us knowing release date for instance the overlord had been announced but not details or release date just like this and it was released without prior warning of a date or anything.
B: Bioware said that the firepower pack would arrive not long before the Shadowbroker DLC now i know Bioware do have a warped sense of time and all but I'm pretty sure that they wouldnt say shortly after and then put it almost 2 months after the firepower pack.
C: Gamescom is on at the moment, I know saying that sounds stupid right but i am pretty sure that that at GDC, E3 and Comicon (though not purely a games convention it is now becoming more like one) DLC has been announced/released during/shortly after, so it's safe to assume bioware instead of releasing it upon the world of gamers in a way that isn't just shoving it on their site to which only a few major fans will see, instead they will get much more coverage of the DLC and will sell more of the DLC if they announce it and release it around a convention time.
D. The Bioware moderator hasn't confirmed/denied the 24th rumour, when he usually gets involved and yet makes an effort to not say anything that usually means rumours are roughly true, give or take small minor details.
Oh and finally do you really think that just cause one dude doesn't have it as coming soon that it isn't coming anytime soon, sorry bro but that dude aint omnipitent Bioware are obviously playing this one close to the chest as it is the biggest piece of DLC that will have come out for ME2 and aren't letting even the tiniest leak of info get away, bioware love their shock shazam here it is, you werent expecting that style of releasing, my guess is that will be the way this one goes.
[/quote]
I would agree with these points.
All rational and reasonable assumptions/guesses to make, which is all we have to go on at the moment!

Crehane, you lost all credibility when you seriously said Major Nelson is just some dude.
For the record, those are not my words, they were quoted from an earlier post. Something went awry with the
quotation boxes in the post.
Only the last two sentences from that post were mine. Credibility intact, methinks!

For the record, those words were not mine, but those of RADGN006. I was quoting them from his post near the end of page 42 of the thread. Something went funny with the quotation boxes in my post, so at first glance it looks like I wrote it.
It is only the last two lines of that post that are mine.
