Did Gamble specify that we would hear something "early August"? Or, was that little more than my imagination?

He said we will hear more 'heading into' August or something.

I'm sure you will have time friend...if patterns could be evidence, then we have till tomorrow until bioware announces something, they did so for overload (announced the date on friday that it was to come out on the following tues).

If not, then we are probably looking at early-mid sept. I hate it too.

This is what we know so far regarding the SB

From Mr. Lee
Jarrett Lee wrote...

Hi everyone,

As Christina tweeted, some of the new guns you are seeing in those screens are not in the Lair of the Shadow Broker pack. They are in fact part of a different pack that will be released prior to Lair of the Shadowbroker - more details coming very soon. While this was simply intended to tease them I can see how it could be misleading, so I must apologize for that.

Lair of the Shadow Broker does, however, contain some *really* cool stuff we haven't revealed yet so stay tuned for more details as we head into August. And actually the very coolest part of the DLC (imho) will be something we absolutely won't reveal in the marketing or PR, to avoid spoiling it. I think most of you will find it to be our most satisfying DLC release yet for ME2.

Best Regards,

Jarrett

Oh I just mean in August we'll be revealing more stuff. :)
This date is a rumor and you should all take it as such. As in, do not get your hopes up for it on that date. Just sayin'

In otherwords you are not denying it? Infact, almost everytime there was a rumour about something linking to some strange website nobody heard of you generally say something similar and it almost always turns out to be true.
I've noticed this too...
Some might suspect, that since we want you all to buy it and stuff, we would give you some details, screens, a date, etc before it is launched to help you make up your minds if you want to buy it or not. Still, I am not in charge of release dates and the schedule I have could change.

I am glad you want more information and when we are ready to give it to you, you will see it. I can't tell you when it'll come (as I said, I'm not in charge), but I think you'll like it when you see it.

Until then, Stay Tuned. Posted Image

And from Mr Gamble

Hi folks,

What I can tell you is this....

Once we actually announce the release date, you likely won't have to wait long before you all have it in your hands :)

Boiled down for the important parts, lets hope the formatting is alright, they need a preview

I see. Thanks for informing me, guys. I suppose that it is therefore not unreasonable to expect further information to be confirmed very shortly.

This is really ridiculous. I liked it better when I was less interested in this DLC.

From what Jarrett said, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect something by now, his language does imply so (I could be getting the wrong impression).

I think is better to talk again about the DLC. If we will do again the mess of the other topic, only requesting when the DLC will be released, also this topic may be closed and we will only be able to wait news, without discussing anything or reporting some rumors that may be leaked.

I personally hope that they will say something today or tomorrow, but IT WILL COME OUT WHEN IT WILL COME OUT. There's nothing that can change it.

Let's just hope it's out next Tuesday, otherwise we're chasing a mirage.

Well i for one prefer to wait for the dlc rather than have some rushed thing of dubious quality. I think that in any case a later release is always good because they have more time to put work on the game, or in this case, the dlc. So really just do something else while you wait and check each few days, when there is something new bioware will make sure that we all know about it.

^This. We cant change the release date so lets all relax, grab beer, or your favorite beverage, and think about how awesome Liara is, and how cool it will be to actually have her back in the story.:wizard:

So, what are we anticipating that the overall duration of this DLC pack will be? Sufficient enough to warrant referring to it as a miniature expansion pack? If the DLC is indeed as expansive as that, I wonder if it will feature interplanetary travel, with several large missions at multiple locations? I am fairly certain that both Shepard and Liara will visit Alingon at some point, as it was the location of the Shadow Broker base in which Shepard's corpse was to be handed to the Collectors, and it is also already featured within the retail version of the game.

Perhaps Shepard and Liara will find Feron there, before then traveling to the Shadow Broker's main base of operation in another star system in order to confront and eliminate it once and for all?

I expect it to be longer than overlord, both in terms of mission time and length/number of conversations. I think it will be a multi-planet mission, visiting Alingon would be cool, as would Liara reflecting on what she went through to get Shepard back. I'm still not sure about what capacity the Shadow Broker will be in the DLC, he's quite a big fish in the ME universe, to just kill him off in a DLC seems a bit cheap (unless said DLC is epic).

Additionally, I am eagerly anticipating seeing full, 3D renders of both Feron and Tazzik. I hope that the pair of them play some part in this DLC, and are featured at some point.

Probably... at least it would be very awkward if it just was a "go to this planet, eliminate threat" kind of mission like Overlord (even though the Overlord DLC was the best story-dlc so far, with Kasumi's being the best squaddie-dlc).
Additionally, I heard somewhere that people who had Liara as LI will be able to rekindle their relationship, so there has to be a lot of new dialogue between her and Shep to make that happen.

They said it was longer the Overlord, and better. And I believe them, they can see the hype this one is getting. Plus theyve probably been working on it since release so I can see it being awesome. Hopefully itll warrant like 1600 MP :D, I really want a huge expansion. DA:O Awakening length anyone?

Yeah. However, the fact that the DLC synopsis states that both Shepard and Liara will be dealing with the Shadow Broker "once and for all", or something to that effect, makes me extremely confident that this DLC will hugely substantial and expansive, in order to do justice to both Liara, who is a core character in the trilogy and happens to enjoy a sunstantial story role and influence, and the Shadow Broker, who has always been presented as an important villain and adversary. I believe that in order to give both vital characters their due, this DLC will be deep, enriched and epic.

Well they certainly can't just brush the SB under the rug in a short DLC, he is set up as somebody powerful (unless they give him the Boba Fett treatment). I hope it will be big, maybe not Awakening big, but significant.

Also, when playing ME2 again, noticed that there was a planet that is described " not to appear on any records, it would seem that all records of this planet have been deleted from galactic archives" - does that smell of shadow broker?

It does have the faint whiff of the Shadow Broker. A while ago there was a post made on a forum, supposedly from a BW (ex-)employee, and it mentioned that the Shadow Broker was based on a ship called the Shadowthrone, but 'Liar' sounds more like a planetside base to me. Still would be interesting if the DLC mixed up planet and ship based missions.

It makes sense that SB would be on a mobile place that would be hard to track.  It also makes sense that he would be in a deep underground lair (most badguys like this route).  Perhaps we'll have both.  I will enjoy the sightseeing with Liara, Tali and Garrus wherever it takes us - who knows, we might even get to fight through some classy antique stores (just for Garrus):D

Whoa!  Awakening length is a little aggresive. :P

SPOILER -
I am looking forward to this - And correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't Feron die?  It's been a while since I read the comic.
