SEP 30? LLLAAAAAMMMMEEEEEE

i wonder if production is slow due to the ps3 port? maybe the team has been split up to do both at once? hence the no info.

i hope not. you would think EA/bioware is not stupid enough to not hire more or hire another team to do the port?

Bioware releases their dlc on tuesdays so I don't think it's sept.30. but I do think it's in sept. I hope it comes out on the 24th of August but I won't hold my breath.

But I was just thinking, if you start this dlc before *spoilers* Liara kills the Observer*spoilers* what would happen? Would he be more prepared or what?

The shadow broker is Liara's "father" I bet. Empire Strikes Back style!

Not impossible I'd say.  ME has lots of references to great sci-fi epics of the past.

Speculation (Well...obviously). We don't even know if the PS3 port is done in-house. They might simply outsource it like they did with ME1 for PC.

I sincerely hope it's not Sept. 30th. I won't even be home by then.

Yes; it's nothing major, though.

Yeah, the 30th of September is rather unlikely, simply because it's not a Tuesday.

Hopefully it'll be out on the 24th(next tuesday). Though it's probably going to be the 31st(also a tuesday) due to rule of cool.

I think it's better to go without a release date, than to have to return to the return of ostagar.
On the day it should be released the release date suddenly changed to "don't know" and it was released a month later Oo

To the dlc itself: I hope it's gonna be better than just tracking down and killing the shadow broker. I would like it gadget-style: you never see more that the arm and cat of the shadow broker :D
And of course he escapes before you can finally confront him, to set all up for a final confrontation in ME3.

I hope bw can surprise me, like they did with overlord.
Few hours after I finished overlord i watched "house of 1000 corpses" the first (and probably the last) time and I just thought "these people are creepy, but not overlord creepy" ;)

I think overlord was the best bw dlc so far and if lotsb can compare with that... well take your time and let me shower in its awesomeness! Or something similar :D

And just to throw in a random name: Bane! it was just to much of a set-up for the Kahoku Arc and the "meat" was missing... i missed something, but don't get me wrong: I hope the Bane story was just an unsatisfying set-up.

btw: i just read the last ~25 pages of this thread and people are talking about thazzik and feron or something like that... could someone explain or point out where to find basic infos on those characters? Thazzik sounds krogan... that's all i can speculate.

p.s: I'm german so be merciful... at least with my english.

It's most likely that Liara just isn't a natural at intimidation, so she imitated her mother out of inability to come up with her own threats. A mixed sign of her darkening character and her character's inability to really turn dark.

That was my interpretation, anyway.

to CaolIla: Tazzik - http://masseffect.wi...com/wiki/Tazzik (He's a salarian, but much more badass than any other salarian we have so far seen in the game, works for Shadow Brooker.)
Feron - http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Feron (A drell, helped Liara to retrieve Shepard's body. He sacrificed himself so that Liara could escape with the body, but Feron himself was captured by Tazzik.)

Question is, why would IGN know any more than we do? Certainly not from BioWare directly. The only possibility is that a third-party source leaked the release date to IGN, e.g. the people releasing it on XBox Live. But if they had a release date, BioWare would certainly have something to tell us about it. My guess so far is that IGN is just speculating based on rumors.

Sometimes, the press makes mistakes. Sometimes, companies give information to private sources before going public with it for purposes of convenience (SEGA, for example, will tell GameStop when the next Sonic game is planned for release but keep all public announcements vague because they don't want to look bad if it so happens that a delay is necessary). And it's quite possible they gave IGN the information, said "this is when you release it," and someone accidentally entered it into the public page because they missed a memo.

The bottom line is, we don't know the reason or even if there is one, so mark the rumor as a rumor.

Just to update the speculation of the date being September 30th.

It is no longer listed as that in the "Coming Soon" list. In fact, its not on the list at all.

That could mean anything, but hopefully the date was wrong and its coming sooner.

It's still there, I just checked. I don't mind waiting that long, just as long as we have some more information or news in the meantime to talk about. This is becoming soooo boring...

If it really is Sept. 30th it had better be one heckuva DLC to take that long to put out.

Yeah I'm going with Sept 30 as a placeholder date too. I say that because 9/30 is a Thursday.

I believe its also the last day of Q3, either the sites are guessing, or BioWare have said that it will be released within Q3 and the sites are using the date as a placeholder.

This is a theory I'm willing to accept. Considering it's dated for Q3 but not on the XBL release list for the next few weeks, a placeholder at the end of the quartal is plausible; if only for the lack of information.
