It's clearly labelled DLC, so it's highly unlikely it's an 'expansion' in the Awakening sense, more likely it's meant in the more literal sense, as it expands the game, like all DLC does. Not to mention it says "latest" expansion. I don't remember any expansion packs, so it must be using it in a way that includes past DLC.

Anyway, I said it in the announcements forum, and I'll say it here too: If this DLC doesn't get impacted in any significant way by our Hades' Dogs decision (giving the Shadow Broker Cerberus data or not), I'll be pretty mad. I mean, it's Cerberus AND the Shadow Broker, it's as if the decision was put their solely for this DLC!

What kind of impact are you referring to? From my perspective, the data shouldn't be at all that relevant to the situation at hand. Liara is not affiliated with Cerberus and Shepard, while affiliated, shouldn't have been involved in any data that would have been pulled from Cerberus at the time. The only way that would be possible would be if BioWare created an intricate conspiracy theory and that will take more than a mere DLC to do right.

As for the favor, you are on your way to try and kill the Shadow Broker. What kind of favor is he going to give you? Blasting himself in the head?

Really, if the mission is held to its word, this DLC should have no effect on the mission because the Shadow Broker should have that data already no matter what you did. His employee did mention that really, its irrelevant to them whether or not you sell it to them since they will get it one way or another with their connections and it had might as well be you so that you can collect the credit on it. It's not a mission about whether or not the Shadow Broker got the data as much as it is a mission on whether or not the Shadow Broker owes you a favor.

Besides, for all we know the Shadow Broker could have just sold the data right back to Cerberus. Cerberus is at least "loyal" to the goal of protecting humanity. As far as we know, the Shadow Broker is loyal only to credits and functions like a mercenary by trading with whoever can give him the highest price. More than likely, he simply sold the data right back to Cerberus for a profit since Cerberus (having the ability to spend billions of credits on Shepard's revival and not seem to break a sweat over it) would likely be the highest bidder for that information.

I hope not with this one since this should be a no-brainer and the Paragon/Renegade choices at least make you think. The Shadow Broker has no apparent allegiance to anything but credits and that is a huge liability for the mission against the Reapers. Likewise, the Shadow Broker has already proven his worth to Shepard when he attempted to sell his body off to the Collectors for money. The Shadow Broker is nothing but a liability.

Maybe Liara is attacked by the Shadow Broker. You know, Liara asks Shepard to meet her right away at a certain place, and then is attacked as soon as you arrive.

That's what I'm thinking...part of the DLC might happen on Illium, and the remainder at the SB Lair.

At first I thought both endings would have Shepard either killing the Broker either politely or angrily, but then I realized that helping Liara take down the Observer in the retail game nets you Renegade points, which didn't make sense.

Hopefully, though, each ending will be unique and impacting.

I really don't think they look ANYTHING alike
The only likeness is in the Handle Design, but other than that, they're starkly different







Also, the MAIN proof that it is NOT the Revenant, is because Garrus is equipped with the Grey Assault Rifle in the screenshot

You get both Paragon and Renegade points if you picked the wrong one, instead of none of them.
