Top Ten Reasons this DLC has not been released

10. The devs are all too busy pirating Halo Reach.
9. Simon Templeton wasn’t available to do the voice of the SB, so they put it on hold.
8. There is no DLC. It’s an experiment in consumer patience.
7. The devs are all too distracted by the awesomeness that is Hawke’s beard.
6. Fox said “no” to the blue alien lesbian sex scene.
5. Jennifer Hale said, “No femShep trailer, no femShep voice!”
4. All the devs were kidnapped by mid-European gamers.
3. Mark Meer put in an outstanding emotional performance into the character of male Shepard and BW made him redo all the voice acting to make it more boring.
2. The Shadow Broker stole it and ransomed it out to Obsidian.
1. The devs are all too busy playing it to release it!

That is the best post I've read here yet! I imagine option 10, 8 and 3 are the most likely.

Seriously I really wish we could've heard Jennifer Hale in those trailers... :(

Unfortunately if they put her in the trailers Jacob could not be in there either...

Unless they want to sell Mass Effect as an "adult" game Image IPB.

Take your time BioWare. Just make it epic and we'll all be happy.

Unfortunately almost everyone has huge expectations for this DLC (me included) and it is impossible for Bioware to meet them all and make everyone happy.

I dont think why it would be impossible for them. They havent let me down yet. Hell I had pretty high expectations for Overlord and bam, they delivered. And they said this was better so well they put the expectations on themselves. If they didnt think it was as good I dont think they would release it/:wizard:

Too all those who don't believe, xbl marketplace was right about the release date for overlord, which also never got a release date from bioware.

Oh no! I'm not saying it will be bad, it''ll likely be exception (for DLC). The problem is that many people seem to be expecting this groundbreaking plot that'll take tens of hours to complete (yes, I am exagerating) and will give a satisfying story for Liara (that'll make up for her poor part in Mass Effect 2's main story) when it will probably be 4 hours at most with three or four planets and a story ending in a cliffhanger (as it seems to make more sense to involve a character as big as the Shadow Broker in Mass Effect 3 aswell). It just seems, given the fact that Liara is such an important character, that people may be expecting too much and even though the DLC may be the best yet, lots of people may be disappointed.

You know what? If i was craving for money Bioware, I would wait with the release of LoSB till the threads about it go silent. Cause till there are 5 pages a day, all fans apparently have their minds still set on Mass Effect. The best time to release a DLC is when fans start losing interest in the series.

Lose interest. Huge DLC refreash. Interest back for several months till next DLC or something else

People in this thread are too fanatical about wanting this DLC. Cool off and play Dwarf Fortress for a week or something.

I want to fly my normandy through liara's omega 4 relay as much as the next guy, but I'd rather play it when it's ready than get another Return to Ostagar.

Please provide a link to said XBL Marketplace page confirming the date of August 24 and everything will be sunshine and bunnies.   Thanks.

Pfft, one month is nothing.

Now Return to Ostagar, that was horrid. It was like three months delayed, then they said it was coming out, only for it to be delayed again. Ahhh memories.

Oh, I'm still patient. But I've just now realized how long everyone's gone sans info.

That, and its barely still August, so more info should be on the way, according to Lee's statement.

FAO Chris Priestly:

Hi Chris,

Of course as expected and naturally im a great fan of both DA and ME and love your site. Just got into it the last couple of weeks and read the number of qualms, etc with the Lotsb DLC, ending with you rightly shutting its forum thread down, which unfortunately i've seen the somewhat over zealous statements continued on Facebook. Still though, taking into consideration fans occasional bloated sense of entitlement i can sympathise with the frustration over the minimal release of information on Lotsb, especially on a DLC many are very passionate about, specifically the story surrounding Liara.

I can imagine and agree with the variety of reasons release info has been kept quiet no doubt, but with so much frustration currently being exhibited by fans to the point of having to shut down the forum concerning the subject, due to rudeness, and the continued angst, though unfair, being thrown at Bioware on Facebook, would it be possible to make a definitive statement just as to the reason release info has been kept so minimal.

I genuinely admire Bioware (Hell, better than Square Enix now imo) and your job Chris (though dont envy it!), though please could you shed any light on this subject other than the request to remain patient (which i sympathise with a slightly rude member who stated that it has been over a month since lotsb was announced) or that nothing can be said as of yet. Understand please that the frustration of not knowing even why release details are kept is very frustrating, especially when your serving in Afghanistan and (sad as it sounds!) aiming to arrange RNR for its release, heh.

Regardless Chris, you and the rest at Bioware are amazing and apart from my beautiful girlfriend of course first and foremost, you guys and gals have given me something to look forward to when i get back with the amazing games your creating. Cheers!

Personally I think that Priestly doesn't know when the DLC will be released, either.

But he can ask and he can at least find out why no info is being released at all. If not him another BioWare staff member can comment on this.

I was patiently waiting 2 weeks ago.

I'm now impatiently waiting.

So whats the word on the 24th Release rumor? Any evidence for or against? I'm hoping its true, schools the 30th for me and I want to play this before I have to go back to that hell hole.
