That doesn't mean Liara couldn't become a crewmember(I doubt it though).
She just won't be one of those we can take on missions and assignments.

Not smug, or negative. Rational and realistic. I will buy and enjoy the Liara DLC because I've enjoyed all the DLC so far. I expect it to be very good, and wouldn't be surprised if it were even better than Overlord.
But I'm a realist, and I dont get myself hyped over things I want, or expect things that are highly unlikely. It would be really damn cool if Liara became a recruitable NPC. No doubts about it. I would love BioWare to do it. But BioWare have said, pretty specifically, that Kasumi was the last recruitable NPC. That there would be no more. The lineup is complete, and its evident not just from what BioWare has said, but also the character recruitment screen.
I'm not the biggest fan of Liara, despite my anticipation for the DLC, so I know a lot of people here adore her. They, deep down, really want Liara to be a recruitable character. I'm just saying that with everything BioWare have implied, there is a strong case against Liara being a recruitable character. It doesnt matter how much the fans want it, or how much they feel BioWare wrong'd their love for Liara in ME2, and how they might feel that making her recruitable will justify their issues.
End of the day, it is extremely probable she will not be recruitable. Thus, if you're a fan of Liara, for the sake of not being disappointed, its best to be a realist. Look forward to the DLC because its gonna rock, hope that BioWare address romances whether they be faithful or not, and at the most speculate that Liara may join the Normandy as an NPC. But dont hope or expect Liara to be recruitable beyond a passing thought, as you will be disappointed.

I'd imagine she's be with Chakwas if she became a crewmate.

that was ment as a joke. Just meaning I agree with Liara most likely not being involved after the DLC... didn't mean anything by it. Besides that, I dont really care about Liara nor Ashely... they both let me down.. lol

Well, at least Ashley had a good reason.
Liara's reason just came out of left field.

Somehow everyone seems to think that bringing down the shadow broker isn't important. You might say that Liara just wants revenge and lets you down because of it, but lets face it... the sucker tried to sell Shepard's damn body to the bloody collectors! Hell, they could have built a Reaper that actually delivers what it promises! In other words: the shadow broker is able to cause some *serious damage*, and the fact that we do not know if he has any motives beyond money, makes the risk of letting him operate unchecked even larger.
Liara is fighting to save the galaxy just as Shepard is. At this point in time they simply have to fight at different fronts. That's the way I see it at least, and I might be taught otherwise in the upcoming DLC.

The other thing that comes to my mind is that she'll be killed off at the end of the story. Now that would be a twist - and Shep would have a reason to finally make an appointement with the Shadow Broker...or start drinking heavily at Kasumi's place.

The Shadow Broker is neutral. Sells to the highest bidder, and always keeps things leveled.

Neutral or not, occasionally he tries to sell Shepard's body to the collectors. Who knows what other stupid things he can do. He is a risk. No question about it. Sparing one person from your squad to hunt him down and remove that risk is acceptable. Liara is replaceable in your squad, but not replaceable in the hunt for the shadow broker.
I understand that people miss her, but that's not how it goes in life. I missed her too, but "Personal is not the same as important."
You might disagree with this in general, but a Shepard should not. He/she isn't playing a video game, Shepard is actually sacrificing his hole life for everyone else. Of course it hurts not to have Liara with you, especially if she is your LI, and it might hurt that she is being so cold. But if one thing is predefined in ME about Shepard, than it is the fact that Shepard will take pain on him/herself to complete the mission. The mission comes before his/her feelings. That's basically why there are no pink conversation options in this game: [fall to your knees, cry, and ask Liara to come with you, because you LUUURVV her so much!!!!!!] - that would be okay, but it's simply not Shepard.

i've been pm-ing some other day in some other case and i got a response after a month [don't remember what the case was -PM's deleted] so i see little point of PM-ing now.....Shavon wrote...

i think it's not about patience exactly but about lack of a acknowledgement form BW's side of working on a response-just silence...awkward silence....LPPrince wrote...

Comic-Con just ended, you think they might need a break.
That and for all we know, they could be working on a fix for your problem RIGHT NOW.

Any sort of DLC is an expansion, whether its a gun, armor, assignment, mission, or Awakening-sized DLC(which is what most consider to be a full fledged expansion).
They said LoTSB is the NEWEST expansion.
That just means its the newest DLC. Don't get your hopes up.
