I hope they have exposition for those of us who haven't read the comics or books.

If the choice arises for Feron to live or die, he'll probably die in my playthroughs. Depends how its written in though.

so the wepons they show in the first screens are actualy part of a differant dlc package using hype over liara dlc to advertise a weapon pack seems a little underhanded to me seeing as the screen shows little else besides the weapons.

i think feron might join the crew for me3 maybe repllacing thane if he dies. i doubt hell die in the dlc but i wouldnt mind if he did, in the comic atleast he wasnt a particularly enjoyable character t any stage of the plot

Guys, I found where Bioware is hiding all the DLC! It's in the attic, come on! I think I saw some DLC in there with Ashley, Kaidan and Anderson!

Just by playing ME2 you can get the main idea. As Liara said (after completing her side quests), she recovered Shepard's body, gave it to Cerberus and her friend (Feron) didn't escape. The comics just go trough that by showing the action and details.

I already mentioned this but a while back there was a guy claiming to work for bioware on /v/ and he mentioned this DLC all the way back in march. This is what he said:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Liara will travel with you for a few missions involving the shadow broker, and you'll be able to develop your romance back if it existed, and even develop it anew if it did not. Afterwards, she will return to illium. We don't want the worry of designing a possibly dead or alive Liara into ME3. We have have enough of those kinds of problems right now."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Shows how little you know. We were actually considering resolving the shadow broker plot in the main game itself. That was removed and refashioned into DLC. Also by making it a separate adon it gives players a feeling of time context. You've already beaten the game a few times and resolved the main storyline, and now you'll get to see whats up with Liara. If it was in the main game you might have felt like there were too many arcs being resolved at once. ME2 already has this issue in that much of the game is made up of recruitment loyalty missions, which have largely unrelated arcs. So if Liara's arc can be resolved in its own time capsule, it's better for you, and better for us."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He goes onto say that this DLC might actually be free and in ME3 they might actually assume you did the mission. Which makes sense considering they would need to explain why Liara is with you In ME3 and if its free everyone can get it. Lets hope they haven't change there mind and are charging for it.

(Remember this was said all the way back in march and its seems like a bit more info than a faker. Especially when you see everything else he said not related to the dlc)

Well we were supposed to get more free content over the cerberus network weren't we? And this is an essential part of the storyline as it explains what happens with Liara. If people didn't want buy it then they will be left clueless as to what happened to the SB, and why Liara is suddenly willing to go with you in ME3. The other DLC's so far are not really main plot related.

That would be nice and make sense, but I seriously doubt that guy was legit. Nothing he said was super specific...

That said, I'd sure be happy if the "developing your relationship" thing was real. It would show that BioWare may be keeping our options open for all 3 games, and I want the chance to romance Ashley in ME3 if I decide I liked her all along.

They never stated how long Cerberus Network support would last and we havent gotten anything free since March. Christina Norman said on her twitter that she believes the Cerberus Network stuff to be finished.

It would be a nice surprise, but I'm pretty sure the free content is over. It doesn't really matter that people who dont buy the stuff wont know what happens to Liara and the Shadowbroker, and I dont think BioWare really care. After all, they're also going to be releasing bridging content to lead into Mass Effect 3, and that stuff wont be free either.

You wanna know, you gotta buy.

Well this is only 2 of his posts and said some more specific stuff in the others. I'm still skeptical but the fact he said this back in march at its happening gives him more credit. As does the fact that he said as much as he did. If he was some troll he would have said something like "Yeah we will have Liara dlc" and end it there, but he he goes into a bit more detail.

4chan is the cesspool of the internet. Even if it's /v/ and not /b/, I would take all information cited there with a gigantic grain of salt.

Meh... I've seen worse in Yahoo comments. And you can always find a Mass Effect General thread on /v/ so they cant be all that bad.

While I expect Mass Effect 3 to be indeed about gaining the loyalties of each 'race' for the final battle with the Reapers, and I'm not surprised that they're winging the story (people who've expected BioWare to have the whole triolgy penned out already are fools) , the biggest give away that he's full of it is him saying "All DLC is free through the Cerberus Network", which isn't true.

Yes, but I'm pretty certain BioWare stated that Mass Effect 2 would feature both free and paid-for DLC before the game even launched, and he would certainly know that.

That was obviously a troll.

First off, its 4chan.

Second, no employee of Bioware would give away that kind of information until marketing went under way.

Third, the person was Anonymous. Come on now.

That just screams troll. Hell, I don't care how intelligent the poster sounds, I could do a better job than that.
