Liara dies at the hand of the shadowbroker and shepard will hunt him down in mass effect 3...
Wont happen. Liara is a fan favorite, BioWare wouldn't do that.
And if they do... I'm a quit Mass Effect.
As would I, but they already said the love interests are in ME3 so no worries.
But to qualify that remark, the love interests are there based on the decisions you made. If you let crew members die in ME1 they don't come back. Who's to say your decisions in the DLC would not effect that outcome?
I don't think they would here, but it is a possiblitiy, and with DLC becoming so popular I wouldn't be surprised if something like that isn't a consideration in the future. Not just for this game, but all games.

I hope she can possibly die, simply because as of yet she's the only romance that is unable to die.

Funny thing for those who are playing Starcraft 2 atm, Liara's VO is voice acting for the female doctor on the Hyperion. I always wondered why her voice is so familar and I get a tingle whenever someone calls her "Doctor".
I believe she does the Terran Adjutant as well. She sounds a lot more like Liara than Dr. Hansen.

It very acutely reflects a lot of people's feelings on this topic, I imagine...

The DLC is almost certainly set before the end of the game. I believe the only requirements would be the hacking missions Liara wants you to do on Ilium.

i am 99% sure she will never be a squadmate in ME2....what would be the point ?all mission are done..she would be there just to make presence...but she will appear to help u..maybe temporary squaddie..especially in her own dlc...
if the DLC is somehow set before the suicide mission then she is 100% sure not a squaddie..as Bioware said..becuase of their role in ME3...
at any rate...i want a release date...so i know to be ready

Unless your Spepard's dead then no but if he's/she still alive then of course you can play it post suicide mission

If having her not join you pre-SM, thus precluding her from dying, means she gets a better role in ME3 (As a companion, please!) then I'm all for it. Having her join the Normandy post-SM would be nice, not all that useful to the game but assuming that LotSB concludes the Redemption story (hmmm...) I can't think of a story reason why she wouldn't.KendallX23 wrote...

Don't get me wrong I'm looking forward to it and I expect it to be good but I don't think it's going to be markedly different to any other Bioware DLC ie. a couple of hours playtime. She's not going to be recruitable, Bioware themselves confirmed that Katsumi was the last team mate, and the best we'll get is a nod at the end from her that now she's finished with the Shadow Broker she'll be ready to join Shepard if she's needed which will lead nicely into Mass Effect 3 where she will be a fully fledged squadmate.
Just my tuppence worth!

Personally I think expectations are set way too high for this DLC and a lot of people on here are going to be bitterly disappointed!

I do agree with you. I'm keeping my expectations low to avoid disapointment. I expect a bunch of combat missions similar to Overlord, where you travel to different SB bases and kill some goons in order to gather more data on the SB's whereabouts.
I also don't expect Liara to be a squad mate, not even temprorary. She may lead a team of her own people separate from Shepard's, or just be off doing her own thing somewhere while Shep's team storms each base. You may get to see what Liara, and possibly her team, is doing in cutscenes, and there will be some instances where she joins up with Shepard and crew for brief dialog opportunities, before separating again.
In the end, the SB will be defeated and Liara will have yet another excuse as to why she can't permanentely join Shepard's crew. I also expect very minimal romance content for those that had her as an LI...it may be that one or two sentences are different for those that romanced her, but the romance definitely won't figure prominentely into this DLC.
These are my expectations at least...if we get more than this, than I'll be
